Navigating the Nephilim - What do we do with the Unexplainable Mysteries in the Bible?
The Nephilim are a topic of interest and contention. In Genesis 6, verses 1-4, there is a description of people who lived in the world that has perplexed and confused scholars and novice bible readers alike.
In this video, we meet Naamah, the wife of Noah, and imagine what life was like in a fallen world with a hybrid breed of fallen angels and humans who have given in to the evils of the world. There are some strange stories in the Bible, but even in the unexplainable and unknown parts, we can learn about God and have hope in His good plans.
Hi Friends and welcome to my christian devotional series where we study the Bible to get to know God, grow closer to Him, be encouraged, and find meaning for our life. Whether you are a Christian who loves Jesus, or just someone who is seeking a good motivational story, it is my prayer that you enjoy what we do here every day, and that it saves you time to hear His Word.

    Im sure childbirth is extremely hard. But it seems like youre passively aggressively calling out men for bein upset when they dont do "EXACTLY" what you say. It gets a bit old after a while. And it goes both ways.

      I’m describing the verse in Genesis 3, where it says “To the woman He said, “I will greatly multiply Your pain in childbirth, In pain you shall deliver children; Yet your desire will be for your husband, And he shall rule over you.”” ‭‭Genesis‬ ‭3‬:‭16‬ ‭NASB2020‬‬ I’m conveying that because of the fall there is this tension between men and women, specifically husbands and wives, using the pushing we experience in labor as a metaphor, because women are the ones who go through labor. I’m making the point that because of sin, all that “pushing” on our husbands can lead to unhealthy situations and relationships.

    To understand this i imagine myself as the creator...as i try to draw a picture of a man i make mistakes and i use an eraser...do you understand where I am going with this!!! ???

    • @MegansSearchForMeaning
      @MegansSearchForMeaning 11 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I believe that God doesn’t make mistakes. He has given humanity freedom to choose Him or not, and as the perfect gentleman, He honors whatever our request is. My mind can’t fully wrap around the sovereignty of God, but I trust that He works out everything for good for those who love Him (Romans 8:28). So whatever mistakes I make, God, who can create everything from nothing, can use my choices (good and bad) for good.

      @MegansSearchForMeaning to say he works out everything means he's an artist call it an eraser call it a paint over we are in his image he makes mistakes. Why would you flood the earth if there wasn't a mistake that needed to be erased ???

    • @MegansSearchForMeaning
      @MegansSearchForMeaning 11 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @cobycrisp326 I like your analogy. 🙂 He is the Creator, and an artist. I’m just making the point that in my belief, I don’t think He made the mistake. WE, the humans who were given free will to choose God or not, make the mistakes. But despite that, He is big enough to work those mistakes out for good. They aren’t erased though. He allows natural consequences to happen. I’m actually filming today, getting into Noah’s story about the flood, and releasing on Friday, so I hope you’ll check that out, and we can continue the conversation. 🩷

    There's one more fact you didn't mention here. "There were giants in the earth in those days and after..... " This means there were giants (nephilim) on the earth before the flood in the days of Noah, and after. If the giants continued to live in the earth after the flood it directly makes the point that they are still here today. There have been thousands of sightings and more than a few direct encounters/confrontations with the giants of old, also known as the nephilim. We can interpret the Holy scriptures rightly with God's help. There are a multitude of reasons that men's hearts will fail them for fear of what is coming upon the earth. Not the least of which will be when the restraining hands of the living God are removed from restraining, and the veil is removed between the world we see and the one we do not see. Just the thought of seeing a 20-30-40 or even 100 foot tall giant coming up out of the ground with nothing but ill will and absolute evil intentions for all of mankind, is enough to make some men's hearts fail them just from thinking about it. Imagine how much worse it will be in the hour it comes to pass and it becomes a genuine reality. I thank God that he sent his only Son to save me from my sins. I have been redeemed by the blood of the lamb. Thank you Christ Jesus for the free gift of eternal life. I know because you did what you did that even if they kill my body, my soul belongs to you and will live forever with you. Seek Christ Jesus while he may still be found and the day of grace is still upon us. May God bless and keep you, today and always! 🙏✝️🙏

      There’s much to have conversations about regarding the spiritual realm. 🩷 I am open to having those conversations, and agree with you there is so much out there that is behind the veil. Thank you for your kindness. The hope for my channel is to invite people into the conversation; hopefully even some that have never read the Bible or have been interested in it, and to show them through this media that the Bible is relevant to their lives and experiences. As I walk through the Bible verse by verse, I didn’t want to bypass these verses and pretend they weren’t there. There are many view points and theories and the Nephilim and it’s been fascinating to learn what’s all out there. But as I stated in the full video, I DO believe we can research and discuss but we have to hold things with an open hand until God reveals the full picture to us; which may be on the other side of eternity. 🩷

      I’m not here to discuss conspiracy theories. If that’s what you’re looking for, you’ll find it on another channel. What I am here for is to engage in a conversation that the Bible and the people/things mentioned in it, by name or not, I believe were real. These things mentioned in this ancient book are there for us to learn something from, about God and about ourselves. I think it is perfectly fine to have discussions and not know the answers. Being able to sit with mysteries and things unknown and acknowledge one doesn’t have the answer is a mark of maturity. Being rude and condescending in the comments section is not. Cheers to you, and hope you find what you’re looking for. ✌🏼

      I believe the people in the Bible were actual people that existed, that had life experiences and emotions. There’s an infinite number of scenarios these people could have had that aren’t documented in the Bible. My calling is to show modern people that they can relate to these people and their stories, by creating these potential stories. It has been researched and prayed over at length. I hope you enjoyed it and it makes you think about the Bible and seeking to learn more about it and God himself.

      We live in a broken, fallen world because all humans think their thoughts, ways, are higher than God’s, who created everything and everyone. It is weaved in our DNA to worship something (The God Gene was found while mapping the human genome decades ago), and many would prefer to worship themselves or an element of creation (sun, stars, moon, rocks, trees, or other people), rather than the Creator. Surrendering to God, acknowledging He exists and we need a savior is the first step of faith. I’m not going to debate politics because that’s not what my channel is about. I will say that Jesus is MY Savior, not the President, no matter who sits in that office, and all I can speak on is where I stand, not anyone else. I’d encourage you, and all of us, to stop pointing fingers at people. The only thing you can control is you. Stop letting other people dictate how you should think and feel about others. Be kind and respectful, and it’s amazing how far that will take us in conversations rather than finger pointing and shame.

      I answered this in another comment. 🙂 But that is one theory. This isn’t a far fetched idea as it is not much different than royal families marrying people within their families “to keep the blood line pure,” over the centuries. During the time of Moses, God forbid marrying a close relative, most likely because the Creator of DNA knew that the genetic code would continue to mutate in a fallen world. For a deeper dive, here is an article from answersinGenesis.com , which are scientists who hold to a creation view of the history of the world, and how science supports it. Hope it helps answer your question in a way TH-cam comments cannot. 🙂 answersingenesis.org/bible-characters/cain/creation-basics/

It's FAITH that saves you, but you must know the WORD of God, and daily live in; sanctification and salvation. Be saved from the wages of sin, which is death, and know Jesus Christ personally, in a real relationship. Pray without ceasing. 🙏 God made laughter. I can relate to this so much! I have struggled with my weight for a long time, and it’s a big insecurity for me. One thing that helps me is knowing and reminding myself of a few things: 1) my husband sees me as beautiful 2) my relationship and body is the only biblical and healthy outlet he has for his desire and physical needs and 3) I have been created with intention and beauty and purpose, and while I may feel insecure I have to embrace what is true, and not my feelings. If you’re comfortable, I’d continue to have that conversation with your husband and let him encourage you in ways that are meaningful to you. Know it will be an ongoing conversation. 🩷 I’ll be praying for you!

      I appreciate you asking! Thank you for wanting to engage in a conversation. This is a question many people, including people of faith wrestle with. The science of genetics confirms we (all humanity) are one race, indicating we came from two people. This means that the wife of Cain was most likely a sister or niece. 🫣 But before we turn our heads in disgust, many people groups have married their close relations. And during the time of Moses, God forbid marrying a close relative, most likely because the Creator of DNA knew that the genetic code would continue to mutate in a fallen world. There are many lessons we learn from stories/parables/fairy tales/allegories, etc. if you don’t believe this to be a historical event, despite science and archeology proving the Bible to be correct time and time again, there is still something to learn from the story that can be applicable to our lives. And if you don’t agree, you can move on to other videos and shorts. 🙂 As the old saying goes, “If you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all.” See? As with everything in a fallen world, there is bad and there is good. The point I’m making in the full length video is that even with the bad things that happen, we can find good. Should William Tyndale have died for wanting to print the Bible in English and for challenging the Catholic Church? Absolutely not. But through his death (and many others) the Reformation gained momentum and the Catholic Church eventually lost its political power over Europe. Because of the Reformation, the masses of people realized they could read Scripture in their own language and, through the Holy Spirit, know what it means. Those are all good and powerful things that have impacted the world to this day. The Bible has been translated into 736 languages in its entirety and thousands of languages for the New Testament.

Things got really messy, difficult, and our relationship ended very abruptly and in a harsh way. I wish we would have left on better terms, but the death of that relationship severed ties in our hearts forever. But, despite the mess I contributed to, God used it for good as the years went on. Let me know in the comments some of your stories.

      Biggest mistake... Not listening. Not listening to Good advice... allowing external influence to come between my relationship with God. The good is God still loves me and it's never to late to start listening to Jesus.

      I think all of us, including Adam and Eve, would say that whatever mistakes we made, it was those same circumstances. Not listening to God, allowing external influences to cause doubt, fear, and confusion…..all of us have struggled with that same process; including Adam and Eve. Sometimes it’s comforting to know we aren’t alone. And it’s even more comforting to know God’s love never fails even when we make mistakes. 🩷
