@destroymusic I think the language of modern jazz really began in coltrane's later years. To say that kurt invented it.... a stretch. Helped develop it? Sure, but didn't really invent it.

really i dont feel like this sounds that similar to rosenwinkel it has some similar elements but its easy to tell them apart so all you guys bashing him for imitating rosenwinkel need to chill out....and listen to more kurt rosenwinkel lol

I don't think I have those tunes you mentioned. I have to admit to being committed to exactitude when transcribing but there is one bar in Autumn In New York that i just can't seem to get! its also one of the only transcriptions i have completed that makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up every time i play it! awesome voicings and great lines and a great example of the arc of a good solo.
