@@howdyhoops2684 You're reason for lowballing doesnt really matter though does it? If he took 30 and you found out it was authentic would you have brought him more money? No. I have been reselling as a primary job for 15 years. I think its important to make sure to treat everyone at yards sales fairly especially if they don't know what they've got.

If I got home and it was fake, would I have gone back to get my money back? No. We looked at comps together and two grown men came to a reasonable deal. Anymore than 60 I wouldve left it as its simply too risky based on MY knowledge of how to check authenticity. If it was a different game like silent hill that is rarely faked, my offer wouldve been much stronger.

It was after the fact when I had a tutorial to watch. The only method I knew was holding it up to light which apparently is for different pokemon games

@@FlippinEhPicks Heart Gold/Soul Silver, Black/White and Black 2/White 2 are all black cartridges instead of grey, and they are slightly seethrough in the light. I was at a sale the other day with all fake Diamond/Pearl/Platinum and Heart Gold/Soul Silver (all loose/no case), kind of a shame really cause I couldn't offer her anything for it.

This I think was my first pokemon game in the wild, I had seen the holding it up in a light from a yt short but wasnt sure which games that applied to. You can see in the video I tried that so I was obviously clueless haha. thanks for the tips, much appreciated

The accessory is definitely the money maker. Id complete its a multiple hundred dollar figure. Mine is the recalled one, not the re-released one from what I can tell. I checked Terapeak and it was still in to $40+ range. Maybe im missing something more, appreciate the insight regardless :)
