My quickest flight at my first Paragliding XC Competition [Eged Liga 2024 Task1]
I have made several bad decisions which resulted me to bomb out so quickly.
After watching back the recordings I got to the following points:
1. Too quick start after another pilot, thought he knows better
2. Following too much the rules (forcing me to turn right in a not optimal position and not joining to a left turning gaggle)
3. Give up to getting back too early (fear of landing on a tree)
4. Wanted to land headwind whereas a slightly side wind landing would be more safer
At the end I packed my stuff, climbed back to the launch and re-launched (1 relaunch was accepted) and managed to reach the start cylinder and the first turn-point of the competition alone which made me happy after my first bomb out. The day was really weak, only 1 pilot reached goal from around 50 pilots.
Lessons learned, prepared for the next task with some extra experience.

Landing adventure in Rio

I had the opportunity to fly in Rio. Sadly with really weak weather conditions, but with a really nice scenery. At the end of my flight I got in a little trouble, which you can see how I handled.

If you find the core you can fly more efficient, and if there are a lot of pilots in the air they're painting the thermals. #shorts
Side collapse on half speedbar - Tolmin, Kobala Paragliding

I got a side collapse after I exited a termal on half speedbar, but as we learned/practiced on SIV jumped off from the speedbar and weight shifted to the open side and with some brake pumps managed to reopen the wing and continue my journey. #shorts #paragliding

When the landing place is to far away you need an alternative plan. If it would without trees in the middle would be easier. I learned my lesson.
Nova Phantom SIV - Paragliding in Monaco

I have attended on a SIV course in Monaco organized by FlyAway paragliding school and made some recordings, where you can see how the Nova Phantom M (flown with 100-105 kg) behaves by different situations.

I love these videos, its positive reenforcement when you find yourself in that exactl same situation. think back to all the lowsave videos and feel your way thru the thermal and up to cloudbase again

Ha hárman tekernek előtted a termikben balra, akkor te semmiképp ne tekerj jobbra, mert kinyírsz valakit... 😱 Ezt az alapszabályt nem írja felül semmi, még a "jobbra kell tekerni" versenyszabályzat sem...
Igen, a továbbiakban ezt fogom én is tenni. Itt is azért nagyon odafigyeltem, hogy nehogy baj legyen belőle.

I saw that, totally crazy one, nicely done! It is really true that your flight is just over if your foot touches the ground. The next step will be launching from a flatland field without a towing machine :)

Well done! I am a glider pilot and a save from such low height is impossible for us, I would be on short final to my chosen landing spot LOL!, my lowest save is from about 150 meters.
