Travel and historic sites. At the moment, I am concentrating on Cambodia and Angkor. I also post videos on home repair.
Banteay Samre
Just east of the East Baray at Angkor is the beautiful but often overlooked twelfth century temple of Banteay Samre. It is probably most well-known for its pediments, which though damaged, are still quite intriguing.

A Bountiful Harvest

Time to harvest the citrus off my tree. They could be lemons, or a hybrid of different citrus, I am not sure because this tree grew wild in my yard.

The military was very important to the Khmer Empire. This Video shows a typical Khmer military column on the way to battle.
Prasat Preah Enkosei
มุมมอง 48หลายเดือนก่อน
Near the Angkor Archaeological Park, and free to visit, is a tenth century Khmer temple in good condition. Of the original three prasats (sanctuary towers), two are still standing, one of them the most complete brick temple in the area. The large prasat's lintel is in itself worth the visit there.

Five miles north of Angkor Thom, a temple ruin lies forgotten in the forest. Watch my adventure to this interesting ruin.
Making a Cardboard Barrier

I needed to make a barrier to keep my dogs out of one area of my house, so I looked around and found some old cardboard tubing. It also makes a good scratching post for cats.
Chau Srei Vibol

A little known temple lies not far from Angkor. Though I had trouble getting there, it was well worth the visit.
The East Bridges

Many old Khmer bridges lie just east of Angkor. I stopped by some of them one day while visiting temples on the old east road.
Prasat Kravan
มุมมอง 3273 หลายเดือนก่อน
The temple of Prasat Kravan is special for its outstanding brick bas-reliefs, the only example of their kind at Angkor. To see more of my videos about Angkor, go to my channel at JamesCard960.
The Buddha of Vihear Prampil Loveng

A great treasure lies hidden in the center of Angkor, unknown by most visitors.
The Ta Prohm Dinosaur

What is the creature that lurks at the Ta Prohm Temple in Cambodia? There are no answers to this mystery, only questions.
Thommanon
มุมมอง 1323 หลายเดือนก่อน
Thommanon is a small 12th century temple in Cambodia. It has some beautiful carvings, though many have been vandalized. It is in the Angkor Archaeological Park, near Angkor Thom. Worth a visit!
The Devatas of Angkor Wat
มุมมอง 1484 หลายเดือนก่อน
The twelfth century in Cambodia gave us some of the most beautiful examples of Khmer art. Angkor Wat, the crowning achievement of Khmer architecture, holds thousands of the most beautiful portraitures of women in existence. Unfortunately, their very existence is threatened by time, the elements, and man.

There is no such thing as dry rot. If wood is kept dry it will not rot. They found wood furniture in the pyramids that was over 700 years old and it was just as solid as the day it was placed there. When placing repair pieces of wood they should be prime painted on all sides before installing them, even treated wood will last longer if it is painted. They make primers like Zinsser that will dry in five minutes out in the sun. Also paint everything inside the patch and caulk all edges. Push out any excess caulk and wipe off. This will seal the damage from future water intrusion.
I would check Websters dictionary. I don't think they would lie.
You do not see wooden houses in South America - except for chicken coups and dog houses.
Good job on both videos
