Played this two days ago with my boy (skins) great course mate - fun driving options, fun course over all, top effort - and shout out from the lower south!

Very nice layout. Good planting, slopes, visually could see everything form the tee very well. The blind tee shot I thought was really cool as well with the bridge.

Thanks Ben. Learning more tactical aspects of design from you every review you do. I do design for the drama always have done. Was laughing hard at your detest for the airport but I listen to what your actually saying too. My green entries with mostly lifted and more run ins will be better golf. I agree with you. If and when I do another one im going to try and complete a simple, no rocks buildings/waterfalls type of course with taking on board what you have said, will be a good challange for me. Going to play your new course looks good, nice work 👍

Thanks for playing my course Ben. A few context things. Here in Wisconsin we do have wind farms on land just like that yes. Hole 14 is almost a copy of a famous course here in Wisconsin at Hayward Golf Course Hole 15 is almost a copy of a Pete Dye designed hole at Big Fish Golf Course. This course shouldn’t have been submitted to TGC. That I now admit. My previously submitted course made it so I just assumed this one would too. Live and learn and the next course I submit will fit the perimeters they look for. A lot of these hole designs were in mind of real life golfers and many were based on holes throughout Wisconsin. For example your critique of par 4 “why wouldn’t I go for it?” The answer is ; most people do not drive the ball 300 yards. A lot of the decisions to not have tall grass in more areas is because the meter was pegged and I couldn’t add any more. There were some blind shots designed on purpose but many were not you are correct. I really do appreciate the feedback and the play through! Sorry you didn’t like my green shapes! Good constructive feedback well done mate. Took a few notes and ill try to make some positive changes next time around. You have that TGC eye so yeah it helps. Agree with the rocks i was half way through and thought the same but just finished it anyways. All the best enjoy your videos

You could make the remove trees brush small and go hunting to individually eliminate the bushes. But that obviously takes forever to do and you didn’t have forever on this haha

Fantastic job on this. Played through a few times now and find it deceptively difficult. Looks great Noon Overcast as well as the default weather settings. 5 stars.

I did dig more in the barrancas. The dips for them were all there but I dug in a few feet on all of them. But that infill was just carried to the 11th and 16th greens that had some raising required to make the whole green surface playable.

Appreciate your playthroughs. Just found your channel fairly recently. Wonder if you could give Tanoshi Hills a go I would like to see what you think of it. Not found on TGC website I just came across it. I thought it was much better than decent.

Excellent round played under tough conditions. I could only manage this course in Medium winds Firm Firm and Default 176 Green speeds. Getting to 2 under was the best I could manage Master difficulty. Lots of difficult tee shots.

Stono is also a River in SC that suns right into the island. But I saw that history about the rebellion when I was searching the name. I still don’t know how that ball stayed up on Hole 3 😅

One of my favourites so far. Only thing I would change is the flag to white which seems to be a thing on the sandbelt. Future official course maybe?

This review is waaaay too critical ; this is a truly spectacular course and more importantly a good challenge to play ; I was +5 thru 12 on my first attempt before shooting -5 for the last 6 and then -5 on my 2nd attempt ; its not easy. Certainly deserved a lot more praise than it received here.

Was hoping you'd play this. One of my favourites at the moment and I think it's only his second course.

I played this in med wind and shot -2 with a mixed bag on the front and 8 pars and a birdie on 18 coming home. Played all the major courses in med wind and so far your course and Widows Den were hardest for me.

Yea apologies for the glitches. That was my main worry and I tried for the longest to find the areas that were very glitchy. Im on xbox so apologies again. Loved the playthrough!

You played it a little more strategically than I did! 😂
