September 17, 2024 Oral Argument - Whitfield v LEEBA - Appeal # 2023-06248
On September 17, 2023, John "Divine G" Whitfield oral argued his appeal before the Appellate Division Second Department regarding the 5/23/2023 decision and order of Kings County Supreme Court Judge Richard Velasquez, who dismissed his First Amended Complaint without considering the pleading, inter alia, before rendering a decision on LEEBA's motion to dismiss. The facts and circumstances of this case represents a classic illustration of a glaring rubberstamping. Indeed, how it is possible to render a lawful decision on a motion to dismiss a complaint without reading the complaint in question? Even more amazing, how is it possible to conclude that fraud did not occurred in this case when the same defendants' were found guilty in federal criminal court (SDNY) for engaging in the exact same fraud against Divine G?

The film has received dozens of awards at film festivals all across the country , accompanied by massive standing ovations.
