We are a family of Kart racers that like to spend time together on Saturday afternoons at kart tracks around the state of Georgia and Alabama. Stealing the Win? Winning Feature Races in Two Different Classes! Some folks not too happy about it!
9/28/2024 - So I entered my Pro-Predator in both the Pro-Predator class and the Flat Kart Stock class just to see what would happen. The stock class is a class above what I normally run but I've got my handling dialed in and I just wanted to see if I could hang with them. I wasn't the fastest guy on the track but sometimes it's better to be lucky than good!! Some folks were not happy that they got beat by a lesser engine but sometimes it ain't always the fastest kart that wins!! MKR had a super smooth and fast track after Hurricane Helene dumped 7+'' of rain on us. Hats off to them for getting the track in awesome racing shape!!!@mkrmonticellokartracing1483

8/31/2024 - It was a long and hot day at the track but man did we have a good day!! 5 of our 6 drivers made their respective A-Mains, while Cason had some mechanical issues in the Heat race that cost him a shot at his A-main. We finally make it back to the track after a 6 week hiatus. Luke has a solid night and is continuing to improve. Summer is here and man is it hot! Asher and I had our first night race of the year at MKR and it was a rough one! With hot temps come short fuses! We had a great time though and we are looking forward to the next one!!!

Luke is trying to adjust his driving to a dry, slick track and has a few hard lessons to learn along the way. He finished 4th overall out of 12 karts, so he did pretty dang good. Cason continues to have small issues that knock him out of the A-Main. He will get there sooner rather than later!

Father vs. Son! This is the first time that Asher and I have been on the track together at the same time! I am very blessed to be able to do this with my kids! Asher is a good little racer with a bright future ahead of him! We have been looking forward to this race for so long and we had a great time! Thanks to MKR for hosting an awesome event!!!

After a LONG WINTER we made it back out to the track for a day of kart racing! We had a bit of rust to knock off but it was a beautiful day and we got to spend time with each other and our racing family at MKR! What was the guy in the video crying about I didn't see the guy in the grey kart do anything wrong he rubbed a little when he passed but that's it boy I would hate for you guy's to come to a sprint kart race you wouldn't run because you would be all mad about the bumping rubbing and plain out running of the track lol.....

It is located in Monticello, GA. It is a small, short track but very well maintained and races well! We would love to have you join us!

What kind of karts are these I'm from Ga and wanna get my son into it
These are called Flat Karts and they mainly race on dirt. They also have Yard Karts that you can check out. If you have any questions you can contact us on our Facebook Page: Sons of Thunder Racing. Short version = he was faster and put a move on me and i spun myself out. Now im upset.
It’s a race for a plastic trophy. If he was just faster than us it wouldn’t be a big deal. But when you have to wreck everyone to pass them that’s when it becomes a big deal. There’s no need to mess up my equipment just for a plastic trophy. It’s just suppose to be for fun.

Alway got that one driver that thinks he’s a professional and doesn’t relies this is mostly for fun. But yeah a little money and a trophy, but mostly fun. And one jerk can mess the whole thing up

Hey i come to this track all the time,i whould recommend your kid to go into the monthly leagues.they cost a bit more but there is a qualifying race and the final race is you get top 3 you either get a trophy or a medal.
We were just there to have fun for the day and he really liked it! He races karts on dirt and does pretty good so I think we will stick to that. I appreciate the comment and feedback though.

It’s a really nice place. They take pride in their track!
Even the BEST drivers in the world will dive bomb on a last corner effort. So all skill has to do is whether you make it or not. Even the best don't always make it.
I really appreciate you watching the video and leaving a comment and I agree... if you're coming to the checkered flag with $1,000's of dollars, contracts, endorsement deals etc... all on the line, man you do what you have to do. Even then those drivers have to deal with the aftermath of their decision's. If all of that isn't on the line though and you're not even close to the last lap of the race, my personal belief is that there is no room for that kind of thing.
Hey this is the 34 kart ‘’you know the one that can’t drive’’ we can run a clean money race next time just me and you we can both throw in $50.
OK, how about this... We both start in the back and every kart you hit on the way to the front, you owe me $10 and every kart I hit I owe you $10? 😂 Seriously though, you have a fast engine, no doubt about that, but it's the driving style that will cost you in the long run. In this world a man only has his name and Proverbs teaches us that a good name is better than riches. I want to see you be successful not only on the track but in life. You're a young man and you get to choose what kind of name you have. Choose wisely my friend. I honestly hope that you have a Merry Christmas!!

Let's expand on your analogy. I agree, if the door is open then walk through it. However, walking through an open door and throwing a rock through someone's window will elicit different reactions from the homeowner. Both will gain you access to the house but one of those will likely be followed up with an altercation you don't want.

This track is located in middle Georgia. The stock class in this video is made up of NKA / AKRA Clone stock engines.
