What is happening to the world? It’s your job that YOU chose. Grow a spine and handle your business. God forbid you can’t spend every waking moment drinking truly with your group of equally spineless friends. Grow up and show up.

Yes, yes, yes!! I finally stopped quitting once I started practicing the small steps. If you want to go big and start big without the full anxiety package and you actually managing to do so, most likely you're not starting from the 0 point. Starting small did not affect the size of my vision but surely it did prevent me from pooping my chance to start and thrive. Start small or stay home! 🤓🤑

    • @maryl.7226

She says that, but also “insists” on handwriting, 3 pages (blank? narrow ruled? wide ruled? college ruled?) dedicated to stream of consciousness, first thing in the morning… so actually, she has several ways of insisting there is a “right way.”

This is the first time I heard about Morning pages. After I watched the video, I sat down and wrote on 3 A4 pages (didnt know what format people usualy use, but I think that is the right size for me because I have soooo much in my head all the time). Felt liberated and hope to continue this practise. I feel so good now. Thank you for this.

CJ the X here on youtube talks about art and being an artist, in one of their videos they talk about perfectionism and how it can stop you for starting, from trying, and i love the way they put this. (this is paraphrasing) your level of taste (your standard for what makes a product good) is above your skill level, and that makes it hard to want to share your work or do the work at all because you want your work to meet your standard, your taste level. because you respect the medium in which you create, you want it to be good. but we need to remember the ONLY way to get to that point where we make great things that we know are really great, is to START and to make the “bad” work to build the skills to make that truly great stuff.

@@Sub0x-x40 keep trying. You may finds the words will come eventually. Each session is different. Sometimes the words flow, sometimes it's harder. So times it is insightful other times it is drivel.

Try typing. I HATE long hand morning pages, but if you type at least 750 words, that's roughly the same thing. It's the same benefit, just a different way to do it.
