Most of my dives take place in The Netherlands (, Belgium and Germany). I love diving at the most complex and demanding diving locations. That doesn't mean that there will always good visibility. I also like to dive projects.
Sometimes I go diving for just 1 week to another country (France/Croatia/...). But that is the minority of my dives.
Diving is just a tool to visit places I would like to explore.
I'm not sponsored, all the diving equipment and other involved cost for diving are paid by myself.

North Sea wreck "de klipper" + spin crab
We were diving in the North Sea and visited the wreck of 'de Klipper'. We had a suspicion of poor visibility, but it was not that bad. There were numerous fish and a substantial spin crab. The North Sea charter is "Black Marlin".

The Felicitas mine is an old slate mine with many equipment that has been left. The equipment I used was: JJ ccr (setup GUE D7 trimix), bottom stage 30/30, deco stage ean50 and deco stage with oxygen. At the first T we went right and did a lot of jumps. We also made our way to the left at the first T and visited the machine hall. We did 125 minutes of bottom time and about 70 minutes of decompr...

Which Rebreather do You use? 😊
JJ CCR (in gue configuration) is the one I'm using.
@ thanks! 😊
Impressive diving
Thank you !👍🙏
Whoahhh, man. That's an stunning place.
Thanks, it's an amazing place 🙂
Beautiful.
Thanks 👍🙂
no music please
Very interesting video, but, like always, it would have been better without the music.
Nice
👍! ! 💙💙💙💙
Thanks ♥️
leuke filmje zo goed bezig 😊
Bedankt 😀👌
When how and why did this mine flood???
In 1863 the mine site was opened and owned by “Firma Hesse & Schneider KG” until 1990 when the current owner “Firma Magog GmbH & Co. KG” acquired the place and took over the mining. While the company still has mining business running in the area nearby, operations at the Felicitas mine got closed and water pumps were shut-off in the early 2000’s leading to the flooding of tunnels with 9° C cold ground water. It was to expensive and time consuming to dismount and remove the machines. Most of the equipment was left in the mine.
❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks 👍
Why is it under water? Is it just ground water filling the mine up and they don't keep it pumped out?
Yes, that's correct. When the pumps stopped, the groundwater level increased. Dismounting and removing items from the mine was too much work. Almost everything was left.
Ja ome Bart 😮😮😮
🙂
Damn, this is incredible. I used to open water dive when I was younger and my only hazard diving was under the ice a couple of times to attach tow lines to trucks that went through the ice.
I appreciate it, ice diving is also quite stunning, but the circumstances are tough. I wish I could do more ice diving.
all mines where origanally root tunnels made by giant trees and you can still see the cut off giant treestumps today with water pouring out the top. you need eyes to see the truth because uit is all in clear sight
Thanks, that's interesting, I'll have to look into it more. 👌
Truly an amazing bit of diving/filming! It’s nice to see actually talented work do well. Brilliant.
I’m grateful for your sweet and supportive words! 👌🙂
Haha, jeroentjuh, hier is het schaartje❤😂 briljant! Mooie video weer Bart. Chapeau
nice videos already put together bart
Thanks Manuel !
Schönes Video 🔥
Thanks 🙏👌
Nice
Thanks
👏 Super Video
Thanks 😊
damn...
Three years ago, it was a very complex dive that required a lot of planning for us. Now the dive feels like a normal one. 😃
@@Dutchtechdiver I salute you guys.
OMG 😳🤿💪👌
😀 👍
What kind of heated Underwear do you use ?
I was using a Santi heated vest which I turned on after 80 minutes. This was the first dive I was using heated pads in my gloves. But if heating fails I should be able to finish the dive and deco without heating.😉
This is so cool and a great camera work. Just great, thank you.
Thanks, this was the first dive I was using my new camera configuration in overhead environment. I was using GoPro with wide angle lens + iPhone 12 in the same dive, sometimes I was recording with both at the same time, 😀
Super Video 👏
Thanks 🙏👌
This is amazing.
Thank you 🙏🙂
This blew me away the first time I watched it. So cool.
Thanks 🙏
That was crazy awesome!

Looks like a fun dive! Looks very cold too! What was the temp, dive time, max depth? Thanks!
The water temperature was 6 degrees Celsius, and the wrecks are located at an approximate depth of 35 meters, with a maximum depth of almost 40 meters. You can see the dive profile at the end of the video. 😊 It was a lot of fun, and this dive spot in the Netherlands is particularly popular during this season. 😃
Very nice pictures! What software are you using for digital dive log?
Thank you, I’m using MacDive : www.mac-dive.com

Holy Socks!!! Just to be near all that old history, it would be a incredible experience to help find old relics that time has forgotten. I was over on @Divetalk and the was a viewer that mentioned diving the oosevoore, so i had to take a look. The viz looks fine from a Indiana divers' prospective. Not sure the water temp at OVM but around here our surface temp is around 60-70 degrees Fahrenheit and at depth temp is low 40s degrees Fahrenheit. Either way ive got more learning before i can get to those depths and with that kind of gear. Thanks for the video, dive safe out there
The visibility is not always fine in the Oostvoornse meer/lake, mostly it is bad. Visibility is good in January and February. In the event of good visibility, the water temperature should be low, either 40 degrees Fahrenheit or 5 degrees Celsius. A DPV is very pleasant because it saves time on the trip to the wreck(s) and the trip back to shore with cold water. To ensure sufficient gas and redundancy, doubles are necessary. The deeper wrecks which are not in this video require also decogas when a lot of time is spent at the wrecks.
I can only interact with things within my arm reach any how, so 6ft viz is fine by me. I've sadly got to update my medical forms to continue my course training at my local dive center. And since summer is about over my instructors are getting close to hybrination since they don't like cold water, which is bad for me cause I feel cold water is just part of the diving experience, one just needs to prep well for it
You got some awesome footage! Thank you for sharing :)
Thank you 🙏 😊
Very cool! I did my first cave dive last wednesday in nuttlar
Nuttlar is also great to dive. I realy like diving in the German mines. But diving in French caves is also very cool, the water is warmer and the environment is also very impressive.
What was your maximum depth during this dive?
The max depth was 48 m or 160 ft. During the dive, the majority of the time was spent at 30 m or 100 ft. The slate mine has only one chamber that is 48 m or 160 ft deep, but it is only a small portion of the entire mine.
You guys are awesome 🤙
Thanks 😊
Out of curiosity how dangerous is a dive like this?
An openwaterdive is not that dangerous. But a dive in an overhead environment is more dangerous. But with the right training, equipment and mindset the risk is acceptable. I would compare the risk with driving a motorbike. But that's just my opinion.
I am a diver and a biker, this is a great comparison.
The visibility was impressive, looked like a fun dive!
Yes, the visibility was good to dive into a mine, but fortunately, this is average visibility for the Felicitas mine. :-)
That was awesome !
Thanks !😊
