I love your series. I love the Untamed season 1. But they did like to break the rules that they had already established and did so on a few occasions. So when it happens here I don't quibble too much as you have taken your ques from the original series. Ok I get that it drives the story further but how the heck does Lan Qiren have the authority to have Lan Zhan beaten as he did. Lan Xichen is the Clan Leader, Lan Zhan Is the 2nd master, and Lan Qiren is their uncle. In royal/tribal hierachy that makes Xichen King, Wangji Crown Prince and Quiren sect elder with no authority to punish or order either of them for anything. At best Qiren could hold a advisory position but cannot issue commands over either of his nephews. Don't worry its just me being padantic, I just can't help myself.

I love the fact that 2 older bachalors are pressuring a younger man to marry when its obvious this is not something the young man wants to do. I' am aware that this facts drives the story forward Its just something that I thought. Considering in the original Untamed season one and the previous season 2 bother these characters put enormous pressure and their own desires on Lan Zhan's shoulders. Often think, apart from Wei Ying, no character sees Lan Zhan as a real person. Just a vessel to carry their hopes & dreams for pride and glory. No wonder Lan Zhan acts cold and stoic. He is trained to be a vessel for others and to not express/ explore is own emotions. I have always seen him as the most heartbreaking character in this story.

Isn't Wei Ying supposed to be a smart well educated doctor from the future? He was told his soulmate is trapped in the past waiting for him. So here is Lan Zhan telling him that he has been waiting 16yrs for him, wants him, everything from Wei Yings soul to his shadow is important to him. And yet Wei Ying still thinks he has to look else where for his soulmate? Not so smart after all. I'm not complaining coz if he was to figure out now that his soulmate is Lan Zhan the story would be over and I'm not ready for it to end yet. Although I don't think I will ever be ready for their story to end.
