It would be nice to see a DW7 Male Roar Remix one day, but it seems it would be impossible to do it without Chorus. I can only dream and hoping one day it can turn from a Dream into Reality.. 😔
I'm trying to capture my cab with 3 microphones (1 mic as mono works well, but I want all 3 mics as one IR), but the result is far from my expectations. Reamping sounds very different, but natural. Is it even possible?
@@ggasperr82 when capturing the cab are you using a solid state power amp or a tube amp? This can affect the output signal drastically and make it closer to a reamp tone
@@miquelvalois-velez84 it solide state GK 2001 RB (signal to return). It woks well when I make IR with 1 mic, but with 3 mics it doesn't soud any close to real sound
@@ggasperr82 gotcha, it may be better to capture each mic one ar a time and then use an IR loaded or blender like NadIR to then achieve the mixed mix tone youre going for

I believe for this vid I used the Precision drive clone into I think the Friedman Amp with a the MLSounds Zilla IR (Vanilla IR)

Hi Miquel! Great video! There is a information I did't get it, which is the sweep configuration in the IR Utility. I see there something written like "mulltipl..." Can you explain that, please? I'm using a Scarlett 18i20 as an interface here.
I am not sure if you are asking about the initial startup configuration for the IR utility but if are using an interface with multiple inputs such as the Scarlett 18i20, you are allowed to record 18 mics in a single session

Just getting into doing this. Would it be the same concept for getting impulse responses from say a compressor, Equaliser or other pieces of outboard hardware?
In a sense you can use the outboard gear to add some color to the IR you record but capturing an impulse response of the gear would not result in the same saturation and response since they react differently to the type of instrument and impedance level is in the input

Hi! Is there any way you can save stereo information on a single IR file? This is something that literally doesn't exist, I can't find any information on and can't seem to figure out how it works and why it's not possible to export a stereo IR file that sums 2 or more IRs panned and keep the panning information. I've tried just about all the tools on the market, even exporting straight from daws and it just loads it as mono, no matter what I use to load it on, the stereo stuff is gone completely. I see people always mentioning the ability to export IRs as stereo, but never anyone actually trying to export stereo stuff or confirming if it actually works or not. For me it just doesn't. I'm creating more complex cab chains and would be amazing to have just one file to load it onto profilers for live situations. Any thoughts? Cheers!
Great question, it is possible since that is how you would capture the impulse response of rooms for reverb effects. You can add multiple inputs to capture at the same time and from there designate the mic and speaker position. You can find a pretty well detailed guide for capturing room IRs on apples support website for the impulse response utility. As for loading, it may be an issue with the profiler as cabinet IRs are mono and often have set parameters for what the file should be. A solution to that would be using something that allows the import of IRs for Reverb effects since those are often processed as stereo files.
@@miquelvalois-velez84 Ahh yes I thought it might be the profilers and that does make sense to some extent. I'm trying both kemper and tonex and yeah just mono all-round. I did try to load my impulses onto a reverb plugin and while it doesn't sound exactly the same, it is stereo. But why would they limit the profilers like this? I mean one amp, one cab, no phasing issues and all that, but that just shuts off so much possibility... But I'm still trying to figure something out :)) Perhaps a separate IR loader pedal or something

Thanks for the great video. I wonder if i can ask a quick question: I'm trying to make an IR for my cello with piezo pickup. It involves a recording direct in from the pickup and a mic recording of the cello in the room. Apparently the software compares the 2 recordings and creates the IR file. I haven't been able to find the option in space designer to do that. It ses to just do sweeps. Any idea if it can do what i need? Thanks for any help
