Thanks for this. I’m hemming my daughter’s pants but I need to leave all the excess fabric in place so I can take out the hem as she grows. Instead of taking in the sides, I will just fold them under (like a pleat) as I hem. Then I’ll be able to take it out once she needs them longer.
