The day started bombing around in some fresh powder. On our way back we met people who needed a bit of help !

STUCK IN THE SNOW ! Toyota 4 runner on 37s and Toyota pickup on 35s snow adventure
มุมมอง 1.3K2 ปีที่แล้ว
We manage to drive all the way to a local favourite spot in the snow. The deep snow proves to much for the open diff 4 runner and a winch and snatch recovery is needed to get home!
Dune Buggies' Toyota's and a Jeep go Rock Crawling (PT 2)
มุมมอง 6243 ปีที่แล้ว
This year In place of our yearly YalaKom Valley adventure, we chose to stay closer to home and explore some local trails. The wildfire count in BC right now is 272, although a few less when this video was filmed. Several highways in BC are currently closed making it difficult for all of us to get to the Yalakom. SO we did this trip instead.

That yellow bug is a true beast! Faurrrk!
No more music or lower it please. Would rather hear the 4 banger flat 4's in action.
Just did that last trail yesterday but coming down, and with a stock f150 😅 no damage but definitely more than what we had planned!!
first!
Where did you go ?
thinkin ab going up to vedder, is the place very sxs and atv friendly? I'm kinda over going to the orv park near me as its so rocky and mainly for dirt bikers
Yup, friendly to full-size rigs, too. Try stave. Sylvester or harrison too !
@@bcbackroads9589 ok thanks, and where do I park? I can't find out where. Is it the staging area for motocross?
Any specs on the yellow one? Tire size? Suspension mods?
Some great views up there. What is the lady doingaround the 17:45 - 17.50 mark?
smashed that subscribe button thanks for putting me in your video. was a good watch cheers
Wich part of BC is that?
It's stave lake west side ( the flats) ( dirt church )
Beauty
I've gone through shit deeper than that in my 2wd Datsun pickup!
Of course you have ! Let's see it 😏
@@bcbackroads9589 It was back in 1993. But I have also gone through much deeper mud in my 2003 Tundra and 1993 4- runner without even engaging 4wd! The only time you need 4wd low is climbing.
@@rodgercook2740 Or when you got stuck using 2whl drive.
Good to see you guys out and about. The Vernon purchase looks great and lots of fun.
Hey yeah this is actually a video from a cupple years ago !
What axles and gears you guys running in your toyotas?
Neither of these rigs are mine but they are both running 4.88 gears. 4runner is on 37s pickup is on 35s
That's awesome! I wish we had Christmas trees like that here in the south... Far south Texas....like the southern tip🥵🥵🥵
Haha yeah every year I spend 8 x the cost of a tree in fuel ⛽️ lol 😆
@@bcbackroads9589 😂😂 love the Toyota! I got a 99 with total chaos long travel... Just sitting on my driveway with a broken rusted frame....
Dang ! Mine was a service truck kept inside for most of its life, so the frame was perfect even before it was braced. It's probably the biggest yota issue out there
Music killed listening to the vw engine doing its thing.
Looks like you guys had a great day out! Looks like a fun trail😁
Bro, this is hindsight but, it didn't look like you all let a lot of air out of your tires.
Definitely coulda let another 5 lbs out
🔝💯🚙🚙🚙🚙
did the driveshaft hit the dirt berm?
Surprisingly not
The dad cam and heavy breathing got me cracking up. 😂
This was the only semi usable dad cam clip ! 🤣
What tires are you running on the taco?
They're toyo at2 35x12.5x17s on beadlocks I was at 5 psi. open diffs suck in the snow.
Are KO2 good in snow?
The fj is running 33" ko2s there not bad but not the best iether
That looked like it was a blast!
Awesome video's great work 👍
Nice wheeling of local areas. I just got 07 FJ beginning of this year. Also lucky you, at 4:11 you almost got tire to come off the bead
Looked like another fun VW adventure. We've had to rebuild carborator s on the side of the trail too 🤣
Wow amazing trail. Great video How do you get to that place in the last part of ur video.thanks
Guys built nice rides but the guys driving def just don’t have driving skills at all maybe they can learn those.
The 4runner is open open diffs with a manual trans and no low low gears. unfortunately, there are not a lot of options. Never looks to bad on camera but it was slick ! Probably coulda let more air out
Music to loud. Fuccc
this is why I always at least carry a come along, and a very long rope. Though I must admit I've never seen that one before.
Where in BC are you located?
Nice!
nice.
FORD= FOUND OFF ROAD DEAD.
They do make off road tires since ww2.
I no longer feel comfortable with you guys. HYSTERICAL
As a Floridian, I am in awe of the nature, and pure beauty of the landscapes you drove through. Your FJ handled well, and the video was enjoyable!
Thanks, and subscribed from Ontario
any good trail for a full size SUV you recommend near vancouver?
Nothing is less then 45 or an hour from vancoucer. Are you looking for a dirt road to take your family up in a Mazda BMW or Nissan family type suv or do you have a jeep/ 4 runner you want to take on a real trail ?
@@bcbackroads9589 not, its a land rover, but its pretty wide. I don't wanna scratch it all over. A real trail is fine, but no rock crawling
Gotta say it great to see the videos. I look for them all the time. Keep up the good work and don't let Al drive the tough spots.
Haha ! Awsome Thanks ! Part of the issue is he can't see to far over the dash....
The area is called YalaKom (no B at the end). Beautiful area.. Man love the Manx bugs, my pop knew Bruce Meyers, and we had a bunch of them, including the BC Made version. RIP Bruce Meyers 1926-2021
I wasn't sure of the spelling thanks !
Awesome video! Wish we could have been there! We would like to join in September? Join the mayhem!
We do whipsaw in September!
I have a great buggie in Fraser Valley..I need a herd of turtles to roll with
Haha msg me
I’d love to join you guys find me on Facebook and message me my name is Sam baldwin

Love it!
Thanks !
So how do we get there
You spend a little while exploring! there isnt more then 3 hours of trails there. Also people up there will tell you exactly how to get to the lookout. I'd rather not publish that info on youtube
Awesome video! It looks like you managed to get all the way down to Stave Lake. Which is the FSR to access that awesome beach presented at the very end of the video?
Message me on Instagram @bcbackroads and il let ya know !
Those darn Tojo's are such a well built truck but the only issue I have with them is they continually lift a front wheel on minor flexing and don't stay planted like a Wrangler.
That's because they don't have a solid front axle like a Wrangler, hence less articulation.
How low is ur PSI when you are in mud like that?
I was at 15 probably coulda gone to 10 but needed the clearance leaving the trail as it's only on a 33" tire
