I just returned (11/14/24) from a 5 day cruise on The Carnival Sunshine. It took about an hr to get on the ship after going through all the check points. It is an older ship. However, I enjoyed myself and have no major complaints. My room attendant (Wishnu) was amazing, and I met some lovely ladies who just wanted to have fun. There are some improvements that would enhance this cruise more, but I wanted to have a relaxing good time, and THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT I HAD.

Thank you. I will be on the Pride in a couple of weeks and was concerned about her condition....knowing she is an older ship. I know a lot can happen in the seven months since you did this video, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that she will still be in good condition. Happy Sailing!

I started cruising last April I have already cruised 45 times on Sunshine only ❤ I have a back 2 back Saturday and then 4 more until she leaves so that will be 51 😊 I will get my Diamond milestone for 50 cruises on back 2 back Christmas

Sailing on my 6th Sunshine cruise this November. We love it because we live in Charlotte and can drive to the port the same day. We also love it because of Jijis and Cucina. On our upcoming 5 day - we're eating at Cucina once, Jijis twice and the Steakhouse twice - because we love them all. We love the Havana Bar in the mornings and afternoons as it's a little less crowded than the buffet for breakfast and lunch, plus they have an espresso machine behind the bar so we can get GOOD coffee in the morning without having to go down to Java Blue. Great video!!

Independence was my first RCL cruise

One of the things I disliked about the serenity area is the small hot tube. It is always full of people and they should put another one there. there always seem to be 5-6 very heavy people in it all the time (yes I am calling the kettle black) I don't mind other people there but the tube is too small. last two cruises I was on it seemed like they were very understaffed for service. like no delivery to the red frog pub or other common areas.

Pride will be my first cruise ever…can anyone tell me if the cabin walls are metal? In the videos I have seen they look to be decor paneling. Thank you in advance.

Excellent review, very professional. Would like to know if you do any reviews on any of the excursions? The ship is coming to my hometown of Norfolk Virginia, starting 2025 and I’m hoping to be able to take this ship out.

Booked my honeymoon for this ship in 2026 already knowing about the mechanical issues. I'm hoping the recent drydock has solved those propulsion issues for the foreseeable future.

The Vista is a beautiful ship, but it seems to suffer from so many mechanical problems and issues with the engines. I wouldn’t sail on it for anything.

Thanks for the honest and open feedback. I have a B2B booked in over a week and wasn't sure how I was going to react to being on such a small ship. I've been on the Breeze, Sunrise, Conquest, Liberty x2, Magic x3, and Horizon x2. I have the Celebration booked for B2B in November, so first time for Excel class. Will be interesting to go from the oldest and smallest ship to the (almost) newest and biggest ship Carnival has to offer within a couple of months.

Oh boy, we booked this cruise ship for next year October. It's going to Belize, a place we have always wanted to go to. I know other ships go there but this one worked best for us. I hope we have a better experience.

Did you feel alot of movement being at the front of the ship? We board next week, our first time in an interior spa cabin on Sunshine. We usually get midship deck 6.

What the British Navy did to the Pirate Republic was selfish. The Pirates did get the Last Laugh though.

I wish I could say we LOVE this ship but 2 non smokers are choked out on the Pride with the casino. We just cannot breathe with the amount of smoke that is all over. Older ship does not have good air system in casino and we love to spend a little time in the casino.

The PRIDE is our FAVORITE cruise ship, hands down. She is convenient out of Baltimore, has a great crew and we have NO faults with her!!!!.....

We just got off the ship like 2 days ago, this is my second time on it and I loved it. The only thing I disliked is if you don’t pay for excursions the second you get off the boat you are bombarded with 100s of locals trying to sell to you and some of them because very pushy. You can definitely tell there was some tourist traps. Other than that the boat and staff were amazing we met some really nice people. Our main cleaner I forget his name was on point remembered everyone’s names and was instant if you needed any help/ request

We sailed last year in a suite on the 14th deck and still had the same vibration problems.

I have sailed on the Pride twice, including a New Year’s Eve Cruise before it’s dry dock when the specialty restaurant was called David’s Steakhouse. I had New Year’s Eve dinner there with some friends, And I really, really, like that ship, especially the Serenity deck, I was there so often that I developed a great friendship with not only the bartenders but the lifeguards on duty there as well. And having a retractable roof over one of the pool decks came in handy when we had some rainy weather on one of our port visits, and the European Feel of the ship with it’s decor was awesome, it reminded me of being in a Old Fancy European Hotel, and you are right about the ships layout not making you feel crowded, even on the New Years Eve Cruise There were plenty of places around the ship to relax and enjoy yourself. I look forward to sailing on her again.

Yikes on the atrium elevators! I appreciate your review. I'll be sailing this month. It will probably be the only time I get to sail this ship so I'll just take that "glass half full" attitude.
