I’m a writer, photographer, teacher, and small town elected official in Camden Maine. I enjoy documenting things that are missing from the conversation and elevating voices that aren’t being heard. Underwater photography and videography is my current focus area.

Mid-Coast Solid Waste transfer station and construction debris landfill is a former limestone quarry approximately 250 feet deep. The towns of Camden, Rockport, Hope, and Lincolnville began depositing municipal solid waste into the quarry in the mid 1930s as it filled up with water. Today, the site is active under a consent agreement with the DEP and only accepts construction debris. We pump ap...

Hi Alison, could I please use some of your eels footage for my video? I'll credit to your channel, thank you!
Sure! Thanks for checking :)
Protect them.
Great video capture during the run!! I remember a while ago before the Edwards Dam removal, when an angler caught an 11-foot Atlantic sturgeon and paraded it around Hollowell and Augusta until the wardens caught up with him.
Super well said!! Weird what we people build and where…
That's a lot of biomass in one place.
ty
Great video! It was awesome having the old rapids back for a while!
Thanks! I love them :)
beautiful
I need to search for an expensive drone that crashed in approximately 15 to 20 ft. of calm water.anybody know if the gopro wifi at that distance from my galaxy z fold 4,( floating above on my plastic kayak),will connect with a longer wifi antenna hack!!!!!!
Did you have any luck? That should have worked with a coax cable. Sorry I never se this comment
Thank you for this video!!!
Thank you
Fish are amazing!
😮😮😮
Alwives, white perch and a sucker too. So cool
Amazing footage. I would love to see all the culverts along the route replaced with bridges, as well as more habitat improvement and green stormwater control, such as rain gardens and buffer plantings, throughout the watershed. Beautiful, thank you for documenting and sharing!
Thanks for these comments! Definitely an under appreciated watershed. The dam at the outlet of the pond had been almost completely closed and the fish were unable to get in. Will be important to keep an eye on that!
What's really crazy is 45 minutes north we had snow even on the coast
Amazing shots, thank you for documenting
Awesome video and project.
climate change is just weather
Seems like Maine coastal towns need to consider the worst case scenarios, as these might be only as far away as the next storm. Why not establish sacrifice zones, that will not be rebuilt or invested in?...We used to call these "beaches."
Well put. We are not going to build our way out of this one. Sad to see us destroying the natural beauty of our state in the process of trying.
Horrível
Where was this filmed ?
Camden harbor
Crab lost…
Deadly where you fishing at hahaha
Thank you!!! Love it!!! Go, fish!!! Megunticook restoration.
Awesome footage!
Awesome footage
Don't know where this project is now, but thanks for resurrecting some great memories of growing up in Camden, during the sixties.
Go Alison
Those alewives and herring feed your off shore and near shore fisheries like stripers and bluefish.
Wild fish are always better than hatchery fish.
Eels too.
Also es and herring. They will run to the top of the stream !!
Fish and wildlife are more important to the Planet than an old concrete wall - even if some Folk this its “prett !” Fact. Not fiction
Go Allison !
LOVE. whoa, these wild brookies are battlers!
Excellant video. The best and simple explanation. THANKS
along with stickleback and scupin, it's one tough benthic scene!
exotic headwater gems--zen, and so cool!!
make room for more water! it's such a cool fishing spot already, and we can only do better by the megunticook.
The American Eel is soo underrated in the aquarium world. You should really do an informative video on how you maintain the tank.
so special!!!
Awesome video friend , i was just checking out your channel and i joined up
Vis looks good,… what are these little guys?
very busy scene -- i thought the green crab was great as themself -- AWESOME!!
high water is so inspiring. the fish are evolving rapidly to 'the new' in their habitat. can invasives-like-us do it too?
beautiful, awesome, wild char! amazing stuff captured always, Alison, thank you!!
Thank you!
Going to have to do some messing about in my kitchen sink!
Awesome share thank you!!
