Whether you have been gardening for years or are just starting out you will find great information on Mountain Harmony Gardening. You will learn about gardening, houseplants, herbalism and everything in between.
I have had an interest in in plants most of my life. My Grandma was the first person to interest me in houseplants and gardening. I started my first garden when I was fourteen. My passion for plants has only grown since then.
From my love of everything “plants” I became a florist in my early twenties and then in my thirties took college courses to earn my diploma for Herbalist. Now through my channel I get to share my passion and knowledge with all of you.
Happy Gardening!
Kristin

How to Save Tomato Seeds Step by Step
This is an easy method to save your tomato seeds from your favorite varieties. I was given these seeds to save from a friend at work who knew I successfully saved tomato seeds before. It may be a longer process than other seeds but well worth the time. If you have any questions let me know in the comments.

I've saved pumpkin seeds before but those were easy.
I have saved those too. I have a pumpkin I'm going to be saving seeds from really soon. Keep an eye out for that short.
The seeds turned out great. Do you save seeds? And what kind?
Do you save any other seeds?
I do. Pumpkins, peppers, kale, onions, marigolds, nasturtium and more.
We will be saving some more seeds soon!
Happy Thanksgiving

@@MountainHarmonyGardening You're welcome!
Happy Thanksgiving! I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday. We are all very grateful for each of you. You are making dream of ours come true!
Happy turkey day!
I hope you have a great day! Enjoy your turkey :D
Happy Thanksgiving everyone. I am grateful for each and every one of you!
Too funny. I can understand why you didn't want to film a full tour. Happy Thanksgiving!
Glad you enjoyed it. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Oh boy, it looks 🥶 cold!
It's been really cold here the last few days. Only 19 this morning.
Donnie was getting hit with snow too lol
Nothing like getting hit with snow while trying to film lol
That was "cool". Thanks for sharing.
I hadn't thought of the cool part being a pun lol
If you touched it it feel apart so easy
It really shows you the structure of the plant. So cool!
That's wild looking!
It was. Glad I saw it.
Nice clean up!
Thanks!
First time seeing your channel. I'm curious what garden zone you are in?
Welcome to the channel. I'm in Zone 6a (or zone 5 with the old zones) in the Rocky Mountains.
Looking forward to having weekly subjects once a month probably starting in January.
Yes mine froze too. I would love to see some more herbalist videos.
I have a plan for once a month starting in January.
@@MountainHarmonyGardening Great! Can't wait!
Artichokes are another plant that likes cold weather.
They do. I haven't grown them in several year. I might try again next year. They are really pretty.
Has your garden froze yet? It felt a little early but I'm ready to start working on some winter activities like my houseplants and herbalism. So many fun things to look forward to. What are you looking forward to this season?
Might try regular potatoes next year too
Looking good 👍
Thank you!
Can't wait to grow them next year. Thanks for tall the info.!
You're welcome!
Hopefully getting them in the grow bags sooner this next year will result in larger sweet potatoes.
Really pretty. I love orchids.
Thanks. You know I love orchids too lol
Gorgeous, would like to see it full of flowers!
I will have to take a picture and post it on Facebook and Instagram.
It has even more flowers fully bloomed now. What is your favorite blooming house plant?
Love when the cactus bloom.

Thank you! I hope you are enjoying the channel.
I'm also going to order some slips too to see if that makes a difference next year
I've seen people grow potatoes in stacks of tires, was wondering if the chemicals in tires would leach into the dirt and contaminate the potatoes?
Yes they can leach chemicals into the soil. I wouldn't recommend them if you want an organic garden.
I've never tired to grow them before. I've tried regular potatoes but they didn't do well. Maybe I will try those next year.
You can use sweet potatoes from the store like I did or buy slips. I'm going to try both next year. Let me know how it goes next year.
@@MountainHarmonyGardening I think I will see if I can find some slips for next year.
They were not as large as I wanted but next year I will make sure to start them sooner. It was a little late this year. But I have a bunch to start for next year.
Were they fertilized late in the season?
I fertilize up until our water is shut off. Which is the end of September.
The leaves still haven't dropped
That Donnie is a good guy!
Yes he is! I got lucky with him :D
I have had that happen before. But this year they lost them.
This was a first this year.
Have you had this issue with your trees before?
Time to get the snowshoes!
I hope we get enough snow to go snowshoeing this year!
We got snow too
I miss fall. But we need the snow. Has it snowed where you're at?
Calling for more snow tonight.
Very beautiful video!
Thank you very much!
