Anyox British Columbia

ANYOX British Columbia. Anyox was a small company-owned mining town in British Columbia, Canada. Today it is a ghost town, abandoned and largely destroyed. The mine shut down in 1935, and the town was abandoned. Salvage operations in the 1940s removed most machinery and steel from the town, and two forest fires, in 1942 and 1943, burned all of the remaining wood structures. This was the birthpl...

    Jeff I think you need to change this title. This looks more like a Timelapse rather than hyper lapse where the camera is stationary and not moving. I did see your moving shots later in the video but you should try using way points, it will look a lot cleaner when you are moving the camera around.

      @@JeffDalziel It all looks so different from above!! Really nice, thank you. Before making my home in West Oakland nearly 40 years, I grew up in these parts, and while that was happening there wasn't anything around there but a few farmhouses, walnut orchards, and ranches. Ygnacio Valley Road stopped at Oak Grove, too. You knew when it was walnut season because the kids came to school with their hands stained black from shucking walnuts! 😅It was SO COOL back then. Walnut Creek was really adorable. There were a whole lot of things for kids to do there too, that weren't even expensive. • @JeffDalziel
      @JeffDalziel 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Try calibrating your Air 2s's IMU and Compass, you can find it in the settings menu follow the steps, also how many sat alights are you linked to when you're trying this? it is on the display when flying. they the first 2 things and then take it for a test flight, hover 10 feet for under craft optical sensors(maybe wipe them) then at 100 feet the optical sensors won't be able to sense the ground but the on board gps should keep you stationary, at this point check how many satellites your connected to. Check if the craft needs a firmware update(also in the settings menu of the DJI Fly app. Next step would be to call DJI. HIT ME UP after you try this. Especially the IMU, COMPASS, FIRMWARE all 3 should be checked. Good luck friend.

    • @Kieffik
      @Kieffik 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@JeffDalziel I doubt any of that is it. Every other flight and mode works fine. Circle and course lock work fine. You can watch it take a picture then pan right, take a picture and pan right, take a picture and pan right. Over and over again. It has to be a setting.

      Sandisk Extreme 128 gig. I go for the Sandisk cuz they are very reliable and 128 gigs is a good size especially if you have a few, I have never filed one up in a day I may throughout the day on a big video with lots of shots end up using 40 gigs. also the sandisk extremes can write and read at the speeds you need for these drones like the Air 2s 150mps or the Mavic 3 lines and now even the Mini's. The cards are about $30 but you can find them cheaper and often on sale. Oh and make sure its a "micro SD card" but you know that :) Hope this helps! Jeff

    • @JeffDalziel

      We have a rail system called bart it goes all over the Bay Area it was the main way for a very large population to travel around and get to work in the Bay Area (Bay-Area-Regional-Transit). if your familiar with Bart then You may know how crowded it gets during commute hours, it was also a great way for people to get into San Francisco from the east bay(parking very difficult and you may have it broken into if its the wrong street). Covid scared a lot of people away from public transit, so that's also buses, Muni and Bart of course. Most if not almost all are now driving to work, working from home(if your to be able to do that). There is no social distancing in an airtight packed or even medium ridership train with people from all over the Bay Area riding within feet of you in an enclosed space. What about the people who couldn't risk covid but depended on bart? Did they loose their job? lots to think about. Thanks for the comment!!! Be careful on the road. -Jeff

      @@JeffDalziel That is definitely a lot to think about. I've always lived in the East Bay, from El Cerrito, Berkeley, Lafayette, and on out to the Concord side of Clayton Valley. The longest I've lived in one place was the 40 years I spent in in West Oakland. I've lived around here before BART was on paper. I was completely done with commuting in January 1979 after the fire in the Transbay Tunnel, but I'd already known it wasn't for me. After that happened I never worked any farther from home than 2.7 miles. Fortunately for me that day was my day off from work in the City. Later, in the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake, the double decked Cypress Freeway structure pancaked 2 blocks from our home. It was a wonderfully convenient access from home to all of the freeways and bridges, but the thing gave me the heebee jeebees every single time I ever was on it, so I always went out of my way to avoid ever using it. What a nightmare that turned into. By the time COVID came I was retired, so I was one of the lucky people who didn't have to think very much about how I would survive COVID, apart from hiding out at home lots. Yeah, if there is one thing constant around here, you really do have to ever be careful on the road. You stay safe and well too, Jeff. Silva

    • @JeffDalziel
      @JeffDalziel 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah unfortunately it doesn’t have the hyperlapse feature, if you want to get in to them I suggest the DJI Air 2s its 90% ish as good as the mavic 3 and it’s on sale from an already very respectable price, get the fly more bundle. If you have the extra cash get a mavic 3 classic, the heavier the drone the more stable in the wind means smoother hyperlapses, video and photos and better lowlight with the 4/3 inch sensor on the mav 3 classic but with flymore( which comes with 2 extra batteries, props, ND Filters, multiple battery charger, and a soft case that turns into a backpack but I keep my air 2 s in a hard case and would for the mavic 3 classic so between the 2 your gonna pay twice the price for a drone that in my opinion isn’t twice the drone it’s definitely the next drone for me but I have alot invested in the air 2s platform and drones crash its the name of the game. Though the mavic 3’s all of them have omnidirectional obstacle avoidance so thats all around up down front back side to side which can be a big deal in saving you from a crash. The Air 2s is missing the side sensors, it has front back up and down sensors, but no side sensors. Flying sideways to get a shot is like the 1 way drone crashes happen. All in all the air 2s has a higher megapixel video on a 1 inch sensor( no aperture adjustment) remember when one of the mavic 2 pro was boasting that 1 inch sensor? 1 inch sensor on the air 2s is amazing good for professional work and half the price of the lowest version of the mavic 3 (the classic, which is an amazing drone and I want one)

    Does anyone know who built these? Are they connected to the Berkeley Mystery Walls?

      @@JeffDalziel it is SO mysterious! as far as I can tell, there are no records as to where the labyrinth and spiral came from! People are quick to assume that it must have been a local artist (??) but that doesn’t jive for a few reasons. 1) that is a whole lot of very heavy rocks, impossible for one person to transport and arrange 2) any modern entity that performed such a feat would surely want credit for it, especially an artist, they aren’t known for building artworks anonymously 3) the close proximity of other stone mystery constructions I believe the labyrinth is much, much older than people realize!
