เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 16 ม.ค. 2014
My name is Klaus (also go by Freddy), a former bean counter making up for lost time.
In 2018 I left the nine to five world to chase new experiences at home and abroad.
March 2020 comes along and the world stops, so did the ability to travel.
The global situation meant that I was to be separated from the mrs and little one for the next 12 months.
I came back to Thailand in March 2021 with the intention to join my little family.
Originally I started this channel because I thought I would need something to keep me occupied while living in Thailand, something to keep me out of trouble ..
With a young daughter you quickly learn that spare time is a thing of the past :)
If I can add a few videos here and there just for the memories, ill be happy :)
Thank you for watching.

Photisarn Market, Naklua Pattaya Thailand - Flashback September 2021
Images from an afternoon in Photisarn Market, located in the Naklua area of Pattaya Thailand. This was filmed back in September 2021 when entertainment and nightlife in the area were still closed due to lockdowns. Only markets and places that sell food were open.

Why were you wearing a mask? you took it off to hold a remote Thai baby 😂
Happy Friday Anna :) Last day at school.
Happy Friday Anna :) Last day at school.
Good decision...best wishes to Ana
Thank you 🙏
If your marriage fails or when you die, you have no control over what happens to the land. If your wife (or ex-wife) wants to sell the land for profit or to pay off debts, you will have no say in the matter.
That’s very true 🙏
Man... I already feel full after watching this video 😂
555
Mate what made you move to Thailand?
Escaping the rat race
@@freddyjingjo nice move
Option number 4 - rent, stay single and stay flexible and wealthy 😮
Seek financial advice but single is cheaper bro 🙏
Omg ! Buddy, you moved to Thailand before I even went to Australia😂 good for you though🎉
In Thailand, can you have a lease agreement for the house on her land? Here in the Philippines we cannot.
I mean your wife's land.
The lease would be for the land. The foreigner can own the house, not the land.
@@freddyjingjo Thanks..So if you can lease land from your wife for 30 years and also own the house, then if the relationship goes pear-shaped the foreigners investment is protected?
@@gumacanian4211 not sure you would call it an investment :) but you have the lease and can stay there until it expires.
Why you put a mask on that poor little child? 🤡 1.8 million is more than 3t times its value😂 bro got screwed 😂
Thank you for watching 🙏
Check out superficies agreement, I think it might be the same as usufruct but not sure
Go Pratamnak when I not there 😤
Nice part of the world 🌎
SO. The land bordering you can be bought for 800,000 baht. You paid 1,800,000 for yours. It would appear to me that someone saw the wealthy farang coming and took advantage of him.
Thank you for watching 🙏
Any more vidoes about buying the land or house building?
Nothing on the immediate horizon. Thank you for watching 🙏
the mini dragon and the big dragon
🙏
So cute my little angel ❤
🙏
🙏
What a proud father walking her in.
Friend Steven!! 🙏
As an Aussie looking to buy in Thailand atm, I appreciate you sharing your experience and all the other information in this video!
Cheers 👍 good luck
Sorry just a question. When you said the leasehold option, if the Thai owner of the land passes away…. You didn’t mean that the relatives can take the land back within the 30 year agreed lease ? Do you mean at the end of the lease ? Surely if you’re 10 years in and your landowner dies they can’t just break contract once they have inherited it. I get they can stop agree to not renew it after 30 but can you just clarify this
The contract is a contract, but yes once the lease is over they as owners can take back the land. These things are all theory based because 30 years is a long time.. not sure how many cases (good or bad) are documented :)
Can't you buy the land in your daughter's name, and you as guardian and it goes to her after her age 20 (as per thai law to own land)
I think she has to be a certain age to have the land in her name ..
I want video now!!
I keep hoping to find a video that makes sense, but if you have lived in Pattaya for 8-9 months and still don't have a clue how to pronounce "Pattaya" then your advice is meaningless.
Thank you for watching 🙏
You got to much time on your hands lad.
WOW ! ! ! ! That price makes me feel FANTASIC right now ! I bought two pieces of property just outside of Korat in a "village" of about 300 too. 18m × 54m each. 36m × 54m total. About 0.5 acres or 1.25 Rai. I got each for 200,000 Baht/$6,000 Usd..... total $12,000. They are adjacent to her property 18m × 54m. Combine??? 0.75 acres or 1.8 Rai.... I went with #2 also. The swimming pond, car port, patio with roof, a 2023 Isuzu V-Cross, braces for her daughter and both nieces, private school, and of course her mom..... are all way more expensive than a plot, or two. I'm 58. I've never had more fun SPENDING money in all my life. I hope your happiness continues. Thank you for the clip.... If you want swimming pond ideas. No chlorine ! ! !. Just let me know. It's CHEAP. Teaching a child to swim is IMPORTANT. All three (daughter and two cousins) are swimming like PLA (fish). Thanks again.
Congratulations on your purchase and good luck 🙏
Major powerline on your land cancerous health hazard.
Thank you for watching 🙏
That’s not ice cream cuz 😂
She live in bangkok
❤❤❤😊 so cute
❤❤thank you papa 🙏
Thats me 😮
Love ❤ Ana 😊
😋😋😋yummy
Brilliant block of land and consideration for your daughters future… A corner block on the highway opens up a multitude of business opportunities from beverage stop to hamburger barn…trust me, I’m Greek Australian and I know. I’m looking at retiring in Isaan and renting my home in Australia in order to live like a king 👑 in my twilight years 😊😊
Thanks mate 🙏 and wish you well
some misconceptions here. None of the 3 options allow a foreigner to own land. Also the 30 plus 30 year lease is a not legal. The max lease period is 30 years.
🙏
Renters win in the end? Depends on your goals
@@freddyjingjo Depends if you understand the risks of using noninees, lawyers or thais to hold your minority interest in property. Even if you rent you'll probably come out ahead in the long run unless you're paying all cash as the cost of interest is higher than the rent and the price usually won't go up.
Yes, Title should be. "Buying land for someone else as a foreigner in Thailand"
A very valid point :) 🙏
Then you wouldn't watch.... duh.
Lovely to see a man of personal integrity… regardless of the outcome, this is for your daughter 🙏🙏
🙏
That was interesting about buying a land in Thailand, but my situation is definitely different I myself was born in Thailand and only being a Thai citizen for 20 years then became the US citizen for more than 50 years actually I was born in Bangkok both of my parents are dead and left us some land for all of us myself and my siblings, I myself Almost 75 years old would love to retire and die where I was born. I enjoyed your story about buying a land in Thailand absolutely very interesting to learn all about a foreigns cannot buy a land in Thailand.
If you are born here, all you need is the cash, flash 😮
How about buying land in Uganda?
Uganda 🇺🇬 is a bit out of my territory :)
Please keep this series going. Much appreciated.
Thanks for the info.
🙏
Nice video bro! Best wishes to your family
what is the little parking area and building in back is that als yours?
Apparently it used to belong to the local school, now its administered by local government/council etc. usually during local elections for ppl to cast votes.
Awesome congratulations for your daughter becoming a landowner I don't know if I'm going to marry when I come to Thailand so I have to consider all my options Land least might not be too bad for 30 years
^_^ best of luck
Thank you
Correction the land is not in your name!! so you've paid for the land so it's your partners or in child's name
Correct 🙏 The land is in the wife’s name. Refer to @15.05 min
Can you not buy it and put it in your daughters name if she is half thai ?
Can.. they would need to be of a certain age first I would imagine. Not sure the exact number, possibly 16? 18?
@@freddyjingjo Would be good to find out exactly , atleast then you know its in someone's name you love and trust
My advice .i was marry thai wife?Be very careful. I heard horror stories? 99% are scams.2003 strong dollar. Bbk 2 bedroom new condo $15k . Now worth $200k
Nice one 🙏
@@freddyjingjo knowledge is power😊😊1998 Thailand had recession ?2003 $15k worth today $30k? Not to mention inflation?
Thanks for sharing the important information. All these options are really risky if you have only limited money. If you are screwed then game over. Is there any way to come to Thailand and get the citizenship through the neutralisation process? I mean no marriage, no work visa. Maybe come as a tourist then extend the visa for 5 years. Then apply for the citizenship? Can you please advise on that? We are currently on turkey but willing to move.
visaguide.world/asia/thailand-visa/citizenship/ 🙏
Good information about the working of Thailand.
Thank you 🙏
Your parents must be so proud of you settling down with a Thai girl embarrassing ….
