It is not that they expect you to buy the panel before knowing resolve. That is why resolve is free. They expect you want the studio license if you are going to invest in hardware, so they give that for free with a lot of their hardware. 😊😊

is it possible that you do a series about the keyboard??? I only find tutorials on speed editor and not on the keyboard. I think even if it is labeled it is not that easy

Thank you for your time and generosity in sharing your workflow. I just visited your channel. Since you are doing a course, would it be a good idea to make a "playlist" on this particular series - course? . And, another idea (i hope i do not sound to geeedy or demaninding, ja,ja) Maybe, you could make a short video "re-introducing this series-course" showing us a "clip or section of the final product (whatever you are allowed to share without having problems with your clients...) Thank you. And yes, I have subscribed. 😇

I like that you are showing us "your method" for cutting a film. I fee it could help if your tutorials into shorter or specific topics of your workflow. What I mean is that, it is great to follow you along " a single project" (your course approach), but 16:56 you started with a new topic. That coud have been a different tutorial. Better for your retention time, and easier for us to find the topics we are interested in learning.

A couple of suggestions- At 16:06 I know you used "delete gaps" but you did not explain it. What I mean, You are starting with the basics, and that´s is good, but I know that for us, beginners, it is easier to understand when we see the "how" you do it, but more importantly, the "why" you do it.

Hi. I´ve just found your channel. I started with the "Edit a wedding...part 5" I jumped here right away. I think your "course approach" to do these toturials makes a lot of sense to me. I am an "advanced beginner" in video editing. At 5:17. Iis your method better than using the "black Magic Proxy Generator" ? I am stuggling to find the right settings so that my laptop can handle D. Resolve Studio. ( Nvidia card (GeForce GTX 1050 . Intel 7i, 16 GB RAM) . I want to learn so I can make TH-cam tutorials about Natural Building. My video footage is very basic. Still my computer is having trouble handling it.

thanx for the explanation i struggle sometimes with the sound... 3-4 videos from my gopros when making multicam-clip i finaly only want to have the sound from one camera (Because the different action and 360-cams have different sound which does not mix good) so i make my multicam-clip without any cutting then i place one sound from one of the action cams to the timeline and then i do the cutting, so i can cut the sound as well in one go what PC are you using? what resolution of the video-clips? even in 6k video-resolution and 120Mbit i get realtime smooth replay in davinci resolve (reducing the editor resolution a little bit) on your video that was realy choppy, as if you do not have a dedicated graphics card (?) - i have a 4080 - smooth editing

being honest, I watched only a minute or two - this topic is interesting, but not buying this hardware yet. But I'll leave a comment. I like you energy and voice. Most of TH-cam is shouting and overhyped. I understand why, but still it's more pleasing to listen to calm voices like yours. Good luck!

If you only need the scrollwheel, you're better of buying a Contour Shuttle Xpress and stick to your regular keyboard.
