Ever Wonder How 4x4 Manual Locking Hubs Work?
Great video thank you. I'm trying to do the same thing with the door skin replacement. My first attempt was only a 12 inch piece at the bottom of the door. When I cut it the same replacement panel you did my 12 inch piece warped badly, I used my small dewalt cutoff tool that has a 3 " disc, easier to handle. I have the same dewalt grinder you have also, is that what you used when you cut down the panel to just above the key hole? I know your post is over a year old but I could sure use some advise. Thank you for the channel and the help!
What brand are these panels? Nice work
isn't that a c20 and not a 2500.. not trying to troll just thought I'd throw my 2 cents of knowledge in cuz I used to restore those in the 80's and 90's when you could still find those everywhere here in Arizona they were everywhere from $1k-$2k before they became so popular to restore.. still my favorite trucks of all time
How does the passenger side go? Is there a c clip to pull?
My guys, the sanding. My ears!
I'm gonna try this at home. Great how to video!!
Cool stuff, this was my Dad's. I bought that intake, carb and header for that truck, hoping it would inspire us, but just never had time to get around to it, glad someone else is making it live.
I helped my Dad bring this old truck home. Original Colorado truck, not Idaho, brought up to Alaska in the mid 80s when the guy we bought it from moved there. Good to see it live again, we had plans, but life got in the way.
Oh, neat fact, seats are out of a 60's Citroen DS according to the guy we got it from, and seat covers are available online easily enough, at least were ten years ago.
And please do not paint it, that patina is perfect, we worked hard on that! 😄
How do I get the right side out of the axle? The left side pulled out easy and I saw you had to climb under your car. What did you have to do to get it out of the differential?
There should be a slip joint in the middle of the axle befor the differential will have a rubber boot on it might have a locking ring you have to cut or remove. But once you do it should slide right out.
Awesome love to see it
Like dj Khaled said "anotha one"
Where in Alaska are you? You actually have a shop or just work on your own stuff
We are down in the south central portion. We have a shop but definitely for personal projects (since we just keep adding more)!
Shouldn't have to double clutch it 53 should have synchronized clutches
You are absolutely right! Once we found out it was a munchie transmission we figured it out. That was just a dumb attempt at a reverse shift instead of second! Thanks for watching!
Essa pickup é incrível! Amazing.
Looks good guys! And she’s running great!! 😊 🎉
Definitely getting there.
Redneck doing redneck shit
Every time, cold or not that K5 is a beast

God damn that truck is beautiful can’t wait to see the finished product
Absolute beauty
It started right up
I have a Blazer cap just like that,Im gonna restore mine too using that stuff, it looks awesome.
It pretty good stuff it held up great all winter.
Why do I Keep trading or selling my blazers? Nice truck!
Was the transmission a stock rebuild?
Part in the video where we talked about it had bad audio. It's a mild build has a shift kit upgraded pump corvette servo and extra clutches in a few of the drums.
Such a fun time! 😊
It's always a fun time.
Nice to see a 6,2 diesel K5 being worked on. Thanks for the video.
My family had an 86. It was slow , so slow from a start but, it was very durable, was great in 4wd. Strong. Towed a horse trailer. It was a very much loved vehicle we drove into the ground around 98. Miss it. Wish I could buy one new today. I would get two.
music name please?
Wow. Never seen that........
That's enough you tube for tonight

I almost never see lowriders out in the valley.
New subscriber. Looking forward to more diesel K5 content.
Definitely coming looking forward to getting it driving down the road.
A shame they rusted out so badly. Had my 83 k5 (manual trans) for years. Looked good with new 32 x 12.50 tires. Loved cruising around in the country with the top removed...Kept her for as long as I could, but watermellon sized rust holes in the back & floor & firewall sent her to the scrapyard. Sad deal.
Definitely hate seeing them turn out like this I might of tried harder to save it but with no title and the rust under the carpet decided not to. The brown one was in better shape so hopefully start seeing that on come together and finish before winter.
👍✌️👈😁
50th sub. 😎 I remember when I got my 50th. Keep Grindin Bro
Fix or repair daily FORD 😂😅
