Buick Park Avenue Ultra 3800 Supercharged 0-60 (stock)
มุมมอง 3.9Kปีที่แล้ว
Reason for slow shift is because tranny is in early stages of slipping. Running on 87 octane with lots of Knock Retard and on a donut tire with a frozen brake caliper, so not as fast as it would be in a well maintained car
10 seconds? I thought they were like 7.5
the supercharged 3800 grand prixs were, but not the older 3100 ones
😬. I have a ticking like timing is off when it heats up. Check OBD codes, coils, plugs, VVT solenoids, knock sensor, and cam shaft sensors.
on this car it ended up going away on its own randomly, very strange
@@gmshitbox5621 I had knock sensor code and cam shaft sensor code. Replaced the cam shaft sensors and did a relearn and the alarm cleared. Noise still there, the last alarm is a knock sensor and I will get to that tomorrow.
U gotta check engine light
It's a suggestion

I find it weird how different the 0-60 is in all these L32/L67 cars. Most should have about a 7 second 0-60 but this doesn't always seem to be the case.
This car was in very poor condition. The reason all the 0-60s on these 90s and 2000s GMs are different is because no one maintains them 😂
thought the 3800 engines dont need maintence ;)@@gmshitbox5621
Really slow for a supercharged V6...
I have an SSEI bonneville and I think this park ave would smoke it. 3800 II slowpercharged. Exhaust, pulley, intake, fuel rails/pump, plugs, wires, throttle body swap, computer swap, a nice tune, and she'll be a lot quicker.
@@coryholzhauer1049This park ave ultra took 9.5 seconds to hit 60, it most likely is seeing some KR which is retarding timing therefore less HP. If yours is a 2000+ Bonneville and it's taking any longer than 7.5 or so seconds that means you most likely have KR issues. A weak fuel pump, clogged fuel filter, worn plugs/wires that aren't in cold enough heat range, being it's FI (factory plugs are too warm of a heat range already). Could be a couple other things also, but for reference I revived an 03 SSEI from the dead, sitting several years and before a tuneup it could hit 60mph in 7.7 seconds. After the tuneup it was taking 7.4 seconds and now after a few hundred $ in mods is almost digging into the 5s.
Look at the description. Tranny is slipping + running on 87 octane when the car was designed on 91+ octane fuel + on a spare donut tire. This guy is abusing this car
@@chiefjuice1 it was running on 87 octane and it had a seized rear caliper, a leaking fuel line, worn out transmission, and a donut spare on the rear. Not a well maintained car at all was just my daily for the summer time before I could afford a different car because I was tired of always fixing it
