Storytelling- The Rowan Prince
The Rowan Prince - Written and Told by Danny English
This enchanting story begins in a beautiful English forest many years ago. From the heart of a majestic Rowan tree, a sweet baby boy is born and soon discovered by a loving Queen. She and the King raise the child as their own, with the Queen nurturing his deep connection to nature throughout his early years.
However, as the boy grows older, the King insists he learn the ways of the kingdom. The young prince becomes a skilled hunter, woodsman, farmer, and eventually a soldier. One day, as he rides out to battle, he finds himself in a woodland that feels strangely familiar, drawing him back to his roots.
---
After the story, consider these activities to help you connect with nature:
1. Find a Rowan tree and visit it in each season, observing how it changes throughout the year.
2. Try making Rowan jelly, a fun and rewarding activity in late summer.
3. Rowan trees are considered sacred and bring good luck when planted near a home. Plant your own Rowan tree to bring nature's blessings into your garden.
Let the story of The Rowan Prince inspire you to deepen your connection with the natural world around you.

Svp quelle colle employée ? Merci
Colle pva (pva glue) was chosen for its durability, but possibly other glues may also work. Good luck!
Merci beaucoup😘
You’re most welcome! Thanks for commenting 🙏🏼
Thank you
I’m sorry people are being so rude in the comments. This is a lovely ornamental bowl that would be really fun to use on an autumn table or under a planter. I’m going to use biodegradable glue so it can easily return to nature. I really love this idea 🥰
Thanks for commenting- we understand that all of our activities aren’t for everybody, that’s okay. We hope you enjoy making the bowl.
Love this!
I did not know this story originated from Wayne Dosick and the book The Golden Rules. So happy to have come across this lesson of giving.
Wonderful version of the story!
@@LindaLillyKranz thanks for commenting- pleased to know you enjoyed the story 💚
@@webekids5307 I am telling the story as a High Plaines Storyteller (Spellbinder Storyteller) to my daughter's day program for persons neurodivergent (I/DD) on Tuesday. As a Montessori teacher I also told this story, Calude Steiner's version. I am researching again how to enrich the story for more animation and narrative. Your version is my favorite! Practicing by facetime with my granddaughter today. Thank you for inspiration and bringing this story to life more authentically.
This is exactly what I was looking for.... thank you. Love love love this. Love nature
@@genepeterson7950 so pleased this is what you were searching for. We had a great time yesterday remaking ours, hope you enjoy a fun nature adventure making yours.
ewww😂❤
I realize this video is 4 years old. But I just found it now. I couldn’t finish watching it. I don’t find videos with music very zen. It’s distracting and unnecessary. If it’s a tutorial. Then explain what you are doing as you are creating. We have to read your description, watch a speeded up video and listen to horrible music. Since it is 4 years old. Wanna try again? Let me know if you remake it. I’d try again.
@@MzValerie thanks for your feedback- sorry you didn’t enjoy the video.
