Xterra "Rockport Rugged Triathlon" 2017 Highlight Reel
A rugged adrenaline spike. A vast, undeveloped wilderness to be explored at triathlon speeds. A trophy that is... a rock so big it could break your arm. Xterra Rockport Rugged Triathlon in Alpena, Michigan is one of the most uniquely designed rugged triathlons in the United States. Roll over tree roots, jump over rocks, and swim in the mighty Lake Huron. It isn't a matter of if you will finish, but will you make it before the cut-off? Held the 3rd Saturday in August each year at Rockport State Recreation Area, all proceeds from the event go toward the non-profit Friends of Rockport State Recreation Area & Besser Natural Area for park infrastructure improvements and educational programming. Cool vid. Getting pointers for a brand new sport. Dub-sup. 2 boards, one for each foot. The difference: balance beam vs. big roller skates. Step right off the dock, never get wet, never fall. Vid. Coming soon.

    Too little to late, man. We had already driven from Washington state to Texas, we were supposed to get to Georgia, but had to cut it short because my Mom went crazy from the sound, pulled her ears off her head and is now in the psych ward. Our dog chewed his leg off because he couldn’t handle it, and my brother dropped out of college and we’re now moving in with our grandparents.If only we knew we could just turn the strap once….

    You should use also your legs by bending them on every paddle stroke. This will keep your back straight, and using your legs and engaging your core will make it more effective!

    Isn’t the blade the wrong way around?

    • @CaseyStutzman
      @CaseyStutzman 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      That is a common question. SUP paddles are designed to have the blade scooping away from the paddler. This is to help cut down on resistance as the paddle enters into the water. Hope this helps.
