I lived in Boise for over twenty-five years, and it's a great place. Incidentally, rather than buying a gun, or a few tattoos, if the criminal (or anyone else, for that matter) had spent the same amount a few decades ago and bought Apple, Amazon, NVidia or Monster Beverage stock, he or she would now easily have greater than a quarter-of-a-million dollars instead. 😮💲🌼- j q t -

I like scamming the scammer

Dating apps are a cesspool of scammers. My husband of 39 years died in early 2014. In late 2016 I joined OK Cupid. 3 men tried to romance me. I had to pressure each one to speak on the phone and when they called they had accents ! The next step would have been them asking for money but I told each one to scram once I heard the accents. Was I lonely? Yes but I was not desperate or naive. Why in the world would would any SMART, educated woman send $ to a stranger? What gets me is that there are so many people out there who are so naive/stupid, that they actually think that someone that they have never met has any real affection for them. It shows a tremendous lack of life experience, a lack of knowledge about the real world.

If Boise PD knew his location, location of his car, and that there likely is a firearm in his vehicle, after getting the PO’s approval to detain, after Boise PD’s plan to detain before he made it to his vehicle, how was he allowed to retrieve the firearm from the vehicle? Was this loss of life preventable from Boise PD?

Being a widow is no excuse for throwing every bit of common sense out the window. I'm a widow and I know that if anyone online asks for even a dollar, it's a scam, 100%, and no exceptions. Simple.

Sure! scamming is on the high because all the victims don't use SKYPE! Only Skype uses a CODE.(profile name, created when you enter) no need to reveal your mobile or emails, set a day and time, chat in the comfort of you home with your date follow. Most of single sides contacts don't want to use "video chat": Most of their profiles are of fake photo , live with a partner, video chatting will disrupt, scammers don't like to show their faces! ( they wont have many subscribers) or CATFISH that agency who help victims. Of course you wont have many contacts at least they wont brake your heart or take you $$ ❤ and some genuine will pop up in the screen...💫

You are absolutely correct but people who are lonely or who like being admired or complimented don't think logically and even if their relatives and friends say beware you may be being scammed the scammee usually will ignore this advice - to their cost.

Is that how that dog normally reacts to strangers? The suspect's body language and movements indicated to me that this wasn't random, he seemed familiar with the property and the dog didn't spook him in the least. He also seemed aware of the cameras and took some care to ensure they didn't get a clear view of him especially from the front. I hope he is found and prosecuted.

On the flip side of or related to this, don't let anyone into your condo or apartment building that randomly buzzes your intercom saying they have a package for your neighbor and your neighbor isn't home. It's an easy way for criminals to gain access to a secured or locked building.

What these people don't realize is that this person doesn't exist. It's a scammer using someone else's photo and telling you what you want to hear. It's all a made up fantasy. They know EXACTLY what to say to hook you. It's not rocket science. How to tell if they are a scammer? THEY ASK FOR MONEY
