    You could of measured UP from the tool box with the doors of it OPEN to see what room you would need & then built a cubby hole from the camper OVER the tool box

    Making your camper so you can close your tail gate is awesome. Especially with a lockable tailgate. Keeps people from getting into your camper. !!!

    Careful somebody doesn't shut the tailgate and trap you inside.

    • @W0NT0NFU1

      The window on the back door rolls down for that exact reason so I could open the tailgate even if I was inside.

    You gotta rename this to Gnarnia build bc it is surprisingly (inspiringly) spacious for a micro build. Well done!

    One inch styro between two pieces of 1/4" plywood equal 1 1/2 inch thick walls, not 1 1/4.....fyi

    • @W0NT0NFU1
      @W0NT0NFU1 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's ¾ styro bc a 1x4 is actually ¾ thick. I may have misspoken.

    Nicely done Sir! Question, did you use any butyl tape or caulk under the aluminum corner trim? Did you do a build video? Those DIY jacks are friggin awesome! I'm definitely going to try to copy those.

    I would build a larger camper that extend to the front of the cap, you will have more space to install more pelican box to store all your tool, and install solar panel on the lid of the pelican box. Main sleeping area will be above the cap, and you might have room for a indoor wet bath.

    • @W0NT0NFU1

      Link is in the description. They're just 8000 lb jacks off Amazon that I welded tubing that would go into a small receiver from harbor freight.

    💋..... brilliant, just brilliant. Superb workmanship. Such a skill you have. My wishlist would be to have the camper extend across the full bed and to use a hinged opening to gain access to the toolbox, similar to the way that sailboats give access to the outboard motor through a compartment in the cabin. But absolutely brilliantly executed. Thank you for sharing.

    Wish I was this handy. I need to create or purchase something for my 2016 silverado 1500 which would mainly be for my detailing/pressure washing equipment, but I also would love the ability for the wife and I to be able to get out and travel the good old USA a little more without needing motel rooms every night. I already own a couple solar generators that would be perfect for it. At this point its a life long dream. I can afford it as for the price you talk and even twice thats not a problem. I do have a couple questions and that is, “what size is your truck bed”? Also, “what class is your truck”? I mean is it 1500, or 2500? Also my bed size is 5.5’ feet. I have the full size crew cab. I’m not against putting some of the build over the roof.

      I ordered the 2kw but I've heard they are the same as the 5kw and they just send you want they want... We open the vent and run the fan. It stays comfortable and dry that way.

    I think your Carbon Monoxide detector needs to be mounted down low as CO gas is heavier than air. I live in an RV and work at my parents RV park. Every CO monitor is about a foot from the floor.
