Great video! Another tip is to stash some money on your person and not in your bag in case something happens to you and your wallet is lost, you’d at least have some money to flag down a taxi to take you back to your hotel. I’d also suggest perhaps keeping the jewlery and nice accessories inside your bag or jacket and taking them to the nice restaurant, arrive earlier and quickly duck into the bathroom to doll up, instead of going out at about all blinged out.

If your mother, your grandmother and yourself has purchased luxury goods wisely. They will last decades and they will never go out of style. I have a jacket for my grandmother, Chanel and it’s just like New. I have jewellery that my mother has handed down to me, just like New. Generations to come will appreciate these things.

Scented candles make a lovely gift because it's an uncomplicated one; while they're personal you don't need to have intimate understanding of which items the recipient already has. However they are expensive for what they are. Like you I only have a few on the go, and burn ordinary candles for atmosphere. Apart from scented candles I don't use spray room scents or infused sticks either. Food deliveries were a Covid19 thing and I certainly don't use them. They also create a lot of waste. I pretty much keep my skincare uncomplicated; keeping out of the sun and wearing sunscreen are my most important measures, along with keeping up fluid intake. I also avoid sugar, it breaks down collagen. If you don't drink alcohol much (same process as the sugar but add dehydration), don't smoke and avoid the sun ....these measures are free! They're also a big plus because you don't have vast expenses in trying to revive your needlessly damaged skin. The complex 10 step skin care program is madness to me.

I have to agree with you on SLGs and skincare! I'm still quite in the beginning of my luxury journey and this week I bought perhaps my last SLG for a while. I have notebook agenda, key holder, coin pouch, a card holder and a mini pochette for makeup and random small items. These are enough; I'll get a new one only oncw one of those items is beyond repair. Am I tempted to buy? Yes. But I try not to. In terms of skincare, it is much better to have professional assess what you need. I go to clinic for treatments and use ZO Skin Health products that have been much more effective than all those random seemingly less expensive skincare items from brands like Dior that do not work. While I don't think I save on skincare, at least I know that what I pay for is working.

Around your neck tied like that makes you look like you have a hulk neck. Not good for the balance of your body, I’d tie it differently.

When shopping alone I return to the car and then move it immediatelyt! This is if I'm not being followed but may be sighted putting things in the car. I check in the rear vision mirror that I'm not being followed. Moving it solves the problem. This is just normal procedure for me. Also I get the least valuable and most voluminous things first. Then I cover those things in the car. Those items are then not visible when the car has been relocated. Some people will even steal groceries visible in the car... it's incredible. If I'm being followed then definitely do the go to a police station. Then wait. I've only had to do this once and it was very effective. Also I drive an unglamorous but acceptable car. The other big thing is to get a plain carry bag for the items. Be careful who you invite into your home and don't have your valuables on display if you have a tradesman or someone you don't know well, at home. Overall it's better to not have people over causally but meet them in a public place. Trust is a gradual process.

Excellent topic and I agree with everything you said, with the exception of the Neverfull GM. There is a reason you see it everywhere at the airport. I sold mine and tried three other bags. I just didn’t like that. The Neverfull was so ubiquitous. For me, it is the perfect travel bag. Lightweight and truly is “never full”. In this case, I wasted my money on trying to find a better bag. I would never carry this for work or pleasure though!

I have to say that I find Hermès clothes on the whole, overrated. The quality is there but the design to me, looks rather more matronly than chic. The scarves are a strong point but I do wish they'd stop putting their signature orange into the scarves. Yellow too is a mistake. It's a family-run business and that's not always a good thing. JIMO

If something happened to mine , would I replace it? I don’t know. I don’t mind seeing everyone wearing one. Now I have given up all my Valentino everything.

Thank you for posting this review and telling us about your airport experience. I also have 24/24 29 and I find it to be very practical and non fussy. I travel with it, carry it everywhere, and it’s more practical and used than my Kelly bag. I just like the understated look and the substantial feel. Most people notice it and comment on it but don’t know it is Hermes. Which is great in a way. I got offered leather goods at the airports twice. Once time I came in to buy a passport cover while carrying my special edition Herbag Pegasus in gold and red. The SA asked me where I got it, and I said at my local boutique (my local SA had to hunt it down for me). Then the SA at LAX told me in hushed tones that they have one just like that but in black and ink in the back. I could have bought it but I already had one so I declined (and I regret it now.) Second time I was offered a Constance slim wallet at the Paris airport boutique. I looked for that in the US for about 2 years and it was never offered on sold. I bought it on the spot, and I use it as a mini bag and a belt bag. It goes with everything.
