I know this is 4 years old, but for anyone out there, apparently you need to pick up the character way before starting the mission or else it doesn't count it as selected. If you receive the mission and then change to the character needed it won't work.

That's all they have to go on because no one who's talking has *seen* this movie. The litany of complains are about something, no doubt, but as of the post date of this video, it's not the actual movie. The idea that anyone can glean a performance or character arc from mostly bad-faith micro-critiques of short trailers is nonsense on stilts 🤷‍♀️
