Hello, many thanks for this review ! I was wondering how you get your flight plan from the tablet to MSFS and if it is possible to synchronise to get the position of your plane on Navigraph ?

Just for the benefit of everyone here that's not mentioned in this video is that it takes a looong time for AutoOrtho to process scenery files with the latest updates. So long, in fact, that you will think it's hanging. After downloading the cache the application has to check and install each and every single one of them and if they're rather large, it will take time.

Nice to have what I thought was right confirmed, but I still learned quite a lot from the whole video. So many thanks and I have been flying the X-Plane simulators since 2004. So you can teach an old dog new tricks. Can I also compliment you on your instructional technique, keep it simple and repeat until the student can recite AND understand or get cuffed around the ear. (My age 81)

Good stuff! Thank you for making this very helpful tutorial. I'll be watching this a couple of times to gain more awareness of "when to do what". Just the one thing that might have to corrected is the ISA Deviation part (should be the deviation based on 15 Deg. Celsius at MSL). Pretty sure you're aware of that. It's just a lot for a single pilot - while teaching :). Again, very much appreciated!

To all those who disagree with his actions. The Captain/Pilot is the one held responsible. Not the airline. Not the Courts. Not the Justice System. The pilots made the right call. NO PAASENGERS DIED. NO CREW DIED. NO CIVILIANS IN THE CITY BELOW DIED (maybe one had a dead bird fall on their head who knows) If you are going to take a risk that has a less than 90% chance of working and the alternative is certainly going to work then obviously go with what has the least risk.

Dear Sir, thank you for your tutorial. - Please allow a short feedback: The terminology does not always coincide with ICAO definitions: ATIS, SID, track/radial associated with VOR, QDM/QDR used in a NDB-context, alt vs height, hecto Pascal/MB/QNH/QNE/QFE, minimas of the ILS-cat. Regarding the switch controls, it may seem a bit backwards from a grammar standpoint (shutoff on, etc), as you point out, but it's true to the real aircraft and there is a good reason for it. The thing to remember about the guarded switches is that the guard down position is the normal position for that switch, whatever it is. And the label identifies the control. This makes it simple for a pilot to perform a desired action quickly. If you want to cut APC out quickly, find the APC Cutout switch, lift the guard and pull the switch back. No need to fuss about with which way is which. The switch label describes what will happen if you lift the guard and pull the switch.

FYI, don't let the installer install the AutoOrtho program in Program Files directory.. it will never run..Only to the root of your drive! And if you (as i did) install it, just Cut and Paste to root..

XPlane 12 is more like XPlane 11.8...Auto Ortho is not soo good with XP11 or XP12
