I have to be honest, I really don’t agree with this review. Reese’s seems to get a lot of praise for being a beloved candy, but I’ve just never been a fan, and I think there are several reasons why. The first thing that stands out to me is the overwhelming sweetness. When I bite into a Reese’s, it’s almost like my taste buds are drowned in sugar, and it takes away from the actual flavor of the chocolate and peanut butter. For me, it’s just too sweet. I get that sweetness is a big part of why people like it, but personally, I prefer a more balanced flavor profile where the sweetness doesn't completely overpower everything else. Another issue I have with Reese’s is the texture. The peanut butter filling, while smooth, doesn’t really do much for me. It feels kind of chalky and dry, which just doesn’t appeal to my taste. I’ve had other peanut butter-filled chocolates that have a much smoother, creamier peanut butter center that pairs better with the chocolate. The Reese’s filling just feels too dense, and not in a good way. It almost feels like it’s been processed to the point where it’s lost that natural peanut butter taste, which makes it feel artificial to me. I also feel like the chocolate in Reese’s doesn’t stand out as much as people say. It’s not bad, but it’s not great either. It’s not particularly rich or flavorful; it just kind of blends into the background. I’ve had plenty of other chocolates that have a much more distinct, higher quality flavor. It feels like Reese’s chocolate is more of an afterthought, simply there to hold the peanut butter filling in place rather than adding anything to the overall experience. I know it’s supposed to be about the combination of chocolate and peanut butter, but to me, the chocolate is almost forgettable. Another thing that I’ve noticed is that the brand gets a lot of hype for being “iconic,” but I think this is more about marketing than actual quality. Sure, Reese’s has that nostalgic value, and it’s widely available, but there are so many better combinations of chocolate and peanut butter out there that I don’t get why Reese’s is held in such high regard. I would honestly take a homemade peanut butter cup or a smaller brand that focuses on better quality ingredients over Reese’s any day. I know I’m probably in the minority here, but I really don’t think Reese’s lives up to the hype. It’s just one of those candies that people tend to blindly love because it’s popular, not because it’s truly exceptional. In the end, it comes down to personal preference, and Reese’s just doesn’t cut it for me. I’d much rather enjoy a piece of chocolate that’s richer and a peanut butter filling that’s fresher and more natural. But hey, I know that Reese’s has its loyal fans, so to each their own. I’m just not one of them.

Got these before and well….unfortunately no they don’t get sweet at any point I thought I would reach some kind of sweet center but they literally stay salty the entire time to the point where it’s barely edible. They are great if you’re an athlete and have sweated a lot as the sodium is ridiculous but would be useful only in that specific circumstance. Otherwise it’s basically a ball of salt
