Thank you ❤. I needed this so much, i was trying to move on and didn't know how but this is a new perspective and a satisfying one. Will try to give time and energy to only those people and things that deserve those.

This reminded me the old days when letter writing was common.... And everytime we recieve a letter it was such a joy and excitement.
Yes, we've lost that sense of anticipation that came with the postal system.
@vmohanty what's the theme of your new channel Vimoh? Will it have same content like other two but in english?
I think the focus here will be more on creativity-related topics.
@@vmohanty sir waqf par video ,apna live stem ma bhi apna vichar nhi bataya
@@Hitesh-z3s I did. Watch again.
When it comes to world building, I'm using AI to generate charecter/ place names, or other small details, like ideas for the logo of the research/ defense divisions of a fictional government. But I always find that I'm not 100% happy with what ChatGPT is giving me, so I change it up a little. But I think it helps me get over the writers block when it comes to these small silly things. It's like bouncing ideas off an external mind.
I am worried that all the current so called writers can't hold a cuneiform stylist properly. They don't know how to write a proper Kings List, nor do they know the divine script to write directly to the gods! What are they teaching these kids these days?!
But they can hold a pen, can make lists, and can exercise their imaginations. You have described the same things. I am talking about something far more basic.
@@vmohanty My comment is to show the out modeing of writing. Who cares about pins when almost everything is being done on keyboard. I personally believe cuneiform on tables is a much harder skill to master than a pin. It also has something way over paper, vellum, and a hard drive. Writing on clay tables and firing them. Those documents will last properly stored for thousands of years. Something paper, or electric storage can't boast. My art footing is in painting, music. It always gets me how literature *has* to be special. Writing has to always be "in your own words" while music can be sampled. A dozen people can work on the same still life. With just a miniscule difference of perspective on each one of them. From now on there will be a dearth of lazy AI generated stories. None will particularly last. There will some people that use the new technologies to make masterpieces. As you bemoan the lost skills... I bemoan cuneiform because it does some things writing with a pen just can't. We have lost so many voices after the art was lost. The future we really need to think more about how we do everything, as AI can take more, and more off our plate.
When I talked about the value of writing, I was not referring to the instruments using which it was done. Keyboards are still writing. And also, no I don't think writing is more special than music.
Loved your comparison with calculators, the only thing id say is that the argument could be made that calculators allowed us to progress further for the cost of limiting are arithmetic ability. But as for AI I'm not sure if it will let us progress further or merely satisfy us by doing our work. For me the calculator invention was a means to an end (getting through the arithmetic which all mathematicians can do but is just time consuming, where the end goal was to be able to make/test models about the world)(like a car taking you to work), but AI like chat gpt seems to be heading towards becoming the means and the end (doing the arithmetic and making the models), thus stripping us of the creative process. Also, when it comes to doing the basics in mathematics or science, many great thinkers and academics did lectures on relatively simpler concepts then what they research and this allowed them to gain new perspectives or ideas, of which AI will replace. Ultimately, I believe it is through struggle that humans strive to create, if there is no struggle and only results, wheres the need to think independently or create?
If you change what you write to get more sales then are you an artist or a technician?
One can be both.
It is a mistake... a big big mistake to think of the issue as one of we/they. We are becoming a new kind of life. Machine + Meat >> bionic Man. Don't worry... or worry. It will happen...it is happening now
I don't necessarily disagree. We change. But what concerns me is the question of the value of all that is lose in the process.
@@vmohanty Synergy my friend. Embrace silico. Meat is analog, switches are bits. Let there be compliment. Build that world. Puny evil does not stand a chance against what is coming. I can feel it. it can take the heat> o! waste of loss. And like the wind-grieved ghost... come back again. heh :)
People weakened "muscle memory" for using ploughshares, the abacus, and oral history and whatnot too. But if novel world building is so much fun you have no fear, it will not be out-sourced to machines. Just like I won't be commanding my AI to have sex for me. The AI will place a premium on authenticity and quality, if you cannot compete with an AI in your art, find another better thing to do. There is no end of work people can do, and monopoly currency issuing governments can always pay decent wages for public purpose work, without driving up wages and prices, since by definition the private sector bid for unemployed labour is zero. At the same time, cheaper (than humans) AI production systems lower costs, hence prices. If electricity use makes AI not cheaper than humans only governments will be using them (or businesses government subsidise) for those use-cases (money cost is not a problem for a government, it is real resource availability that's their problem). If government need public services and cannot find unemployed labour, they are then bidding against the private sector for workers, driving up wages, hence firm costs, hence prices. That pressure is removed the more safe (hence no disaster cost later) automation governments can deploy. In case you were wondering, operating a non-convertible fiat currency on a floating exchange rate means governments must spend first, or issue loans, before anyone can pay taxes and fees or buy bonds. So taxation is not a funding operation for government, it is a demand driver (tax liability - not the revenue (return back)) means people are looking to earn the otherwise worthless currency). And bonds sales are unnecessary, but can be used to set the interest rate floor above zero (natural rate is zero, which is the state of no government interference in the credit market through bond issuance). All of which means unemployment is choice of government, not "the market." It's the wrong choice. We wake up every day to severe labour shortages. But in non-profit work, care work, etc. People can always by paid a wage to do public good work in their local community, or up-skill, always, without question. Local community permaculture gardening is something anyone can do. Basic Income is thereby able to be _enhanced_ enhanced for those who cannot and should not be working (the young, elderly, sick, infirm).
The farmer who saved time with agricultural implements was grateful for it I imagine. The writer who loses the ability to write, will he be grateful? That's what I am concerned about. And I think it is a huge assumption to say AI will place a premium on authenticity and quality. We don't know that. And also perhaps whether those things have uniform meanings in the creative field. When humans have trouble describing authenticity and quality, AI will too I think. But these are misty days and clarity may very well follow. Thanks for commenting.
Honestly, as a young, employed, writer- I’m not concerned about AI taking my job. I do think, however, that using AI in anything other than small technical situations, perhaps most aptly for research, would make my writing more contrived. The beauty of writing for me is that this thing exists because of what I KNOW and what I HAVE BEEN THROUGH, it’s been true forever that nobody can write the same story exactly like somebody else would, there’s so much nuance to these things. So personally I won’t be using AI for anything other than spell check and research, which may spill into world building if I wanted to write some sort of sci-fi alien species and make it anatomically correct haha. But I think creative folks in general should shy away from resources like that in order get better at their craft on an individual level. Like calculators, it made most people worse at math, but a part of being a mathematician, the hardest part, is coming up with the questions, the theories, the equation. The answer just comes quicker with a calculator. So I know the same will be true with AI. It’s not like photography eradicated portrait painting, they’re just two distinct things now. I also think it should be mandatory, although it would be extremely hard to enforce, that writers of films and novels and books disclose the extent to which AI was used to create the end result.
Well said. I suppose what you are pointing out is the difference between being imaginative and being creative. Everyone has an imagination. But few become creative. It is that which I fear for. Anyway, thanks for commenting.

What's your favorite fantasy book series? Thank you and all the best for your book channel.
No series really. But one of my favourite fantasy authors is Neil Gaiman.
I was waiting for more videos on writing 😭
Sorry man. If I focused solely on writing, there would be a gap of months between videos. I might still make occasional vids about writing, but for the most part, this is a book vlog now. Stay tuned. You may like it.
Concise and clear as always. Please put affiliate links for those books.
