This is simple tutorial how to set up necessary equipment for recieving radioamateur beacon broadcasting DVB-S2 on Es'hail 2 / Q0-100 satellite. 1) Set up LNB convertor, use T bias tee with 16 V for horizontal polarization, aim dish to 26° East, wire to RTL* dongle. 2) Install rtl_sdr package. 3) Follow instructions on www.pabr.org/radio/leandvb/leandvb.en.html 4) Play recieved signal in VLC: r...

    Good time of day to you! I have seen your project of Satcom antenna, all the comments and the blog itself. It has been really helpful, yet i haven’t found answers for some questions. 1. What material did you use for the antenna itself? 2. What kind of cable did you use to connect the lower part of the antenna? 3. Were you able to make director, the antenna amplifier, if I understand it correctly? Since I’ve seen something that looks like the interface for it on the last 3D printed part of antenna? 4. Do you have a file or something to see how you connected it all, if it would be unclear from previous answers. Both for antenna and director-amplifiers?

    Ahoj, můžu se prosím zeptat, jestli se anténovej kabel pájí jenom k té vrchní růžici se 4 listy? a spodní základní patro je jen smontované, bez dotyku anténího kabelu? nebo se musí připájet na obě patra?

      Nychrom Ahoj, zalezi jakou chces polarizaci. Pokud Ti staci linearni, tak pripoj jen dva zarice, pokud chces kruhovou, tak pripoj oba pary, ale musis vyresit fazovy posuv o 90° A to spodni patro plni funkci reflektoru. Napis mi na me@tomasbrincil nejaky detaily, poradim Ti.

    Great to see it flown in a scale like manner, will be maidening mine tomorrow and hope she flies as well as yours. Did notice the engine surround is kinda delicate and was thinking of playing with the Cura settings to strengthen it up a bit and reprint, would you recommend this?

    Great looking plane and super flight! I just started printing this plane. Did you use 3DlabPrint recommendation for CG? Any balancing issues? Can I ask what motor and battery you are using? Thanks again for sharing.

      Thanks man! Dad is flying 3S 1300 mAh + 70g balast to get right position of center of gravity. These airplanes are designed in 3DLabPrint by guys flying ACES combat competiotion and they fast as hell. For easy and much slower flying you are fine with half power equipment.

      @@whalekiller2444 great! Antenna is yagi uda type- dipole with reflector. Cross parts are not connected. The polarization is linear not circulal.

      Ahoj, jelikož to byl první tištěný model, je tam vše co doporučuje návod. Ale letělo by to možná i s polovičním výkonem. Je to dost přemotorovaný a většina těch průletů byla sotva na 1/2 plynu.

      I don't know about this guy's IL-2, but I can say that mine took less than a roll (<1kg) to print. I'd plan on 5-7 days of printing. I work Monday through Friday so maybe it took me longer.
