Thank you Gabriel for sharing your story. Many Adoptees who were adopted as children by US citizen parents are still being denied US citizenship rights despite their legal adoptions. The Child Citizenship Act of 2001 was an automatic citizenship bill but congress created a loophole when they created an arbitrary age cut off. Now Adoptees are vulnerable to deportation to countries they were orphaned in as children. Call your senators and ask them to support the Adoptee Citizenship Act.
