Cantilever Floating steps
Needed some better looking steps from the back patio down to my garden paths. Used fence slats and 2x4s to make the frames. I used Sakrete 60 lb high strength concrete and it took about 6 bags for each slab. The bottom slab is not floating and is only about 3" deep.

at what physical point did you separate the lumber when cement was dry?
I don't think that it really matters exactly where to start taking the framing off.
Can you do a step by step video as to how you did the framing for the floating step
I more or less just did the forms as I went through the process. It is really nothing complicated. Just make sure everything is level.
Thank you this is great thank you. What tape did you use to ensure the timber comes off cleanly? I’m about to have a go at making something very similar only larger. Any tips would be appreciated.
Some gorilla tape and also some vaseline.
What kind of water pump do you use?
Just a small fountain pump purchased from Lowes.
Where did you get your tool for the pads from. I have a foredom flex shaft
I actually use an die grinder in a vice now. It is much more rugged and forgiving,. The discs are pressed onto a velcro backing. I think I got it at Harbor freight.

I noticed in a comment you posted on another video, that you were able to get some ivermectin to keep on hand. . I live in Canada and we can not get any ivermectin here. . Can you tell me how much your ivermectin cost (per pill if possible) and where you get a few pills ?? . Youutuube will not let me post hardly anything .
My wife's family in Mexico got us some tablets from their local farmacia. You can also use a horse dewormer paste that is sold in feed stores such as Tractor Supply. It is sold by many brand names; but, the one that I got is named Bimectin. I actually took some last week when I felt a cold coming on! It tastes like vaseline; but who really cares.

I wonder if those were nodule type inclusions I was seeing and if so what kind of mineral.

Any examples of rocks you have polished with this setup? Seems like a cheap alternative!
