Crown has a nightclub that Pearl does not have, generally has better cabins, more and better balcony cabins, the staff tend to be slightly more pleasant, as well as I personally find Crown more cozy. Pearl is the bigger and more spacious one. Overall she is more open and "impressive" inside compared to Crown. If you want the Owner's Suite, the ones on Pearl are better, since it's larger as well as having an outside deck in the front with a jacuzzi. The Commodore Class cabins are better on Pearl too. But Commodore DeLuxe and Balcony cabis, in addition to the standard ones are better at Crown though. Pearl also has some outside pools on the stern, which is great (not in wintertime though). I feel the food is slightly better at Pearl too. So yeah, I could have written a lot more about this, but the short answer is: it depends. But personally, I find Pearl a bit better. 🙂 ⛴

Thanks for comment! I see your point. But I feel Superspeed should have been built with some simple cabins for other travelers too. It's a great way for some private space, and as I mentioned in the video, to get some sleep and/or have a shower. And since Fjord Line provides the offer to have a cabin, it can make the journey a lot better for someone. Nice to hear you enjoy my content! I appreciate it! 🤩

Its sad that there is no ferry service between Norway and UK at all.

It would be great for my travels to London, Scotland and other british destinations. Would be fantastic with a ferry operating from Bergen, Stavanger or Kristiansand to Newcastle or Edinburgh. The buses are not free I'm aware. Says 40 DKK (adults) and 30 DKK (children) on their website. The price isn't too bad, but I think it should be free. Also, the boarding and disembarkation process in Kristiansand let down the experience a little bit for me - it's far more easy and accesible traveling with Color Line. In Hirtshals, the short walking distance to the city centre with Color Line makes it very effiecient and easy. On Fjord Line, you either have to pay and take a bus (which can be interesting with larger groups and/or much luggage), or you have to walk like 40 mins to Emmersbæk station, or 50 mins to the city centre. So, yeah, I stand with my view to give CL a point there. But thanks for reaching out! 😄

Rumours from media has spoken about them getting the red and white Gotlandsbolaget livery, but Gotlandsbolaget has not confirmed this. So we don't know yet, but will know early 2025. ⛴️

No, she is sold to Gotlandsbolaget, and operates by them on the Oslo-Frederikshavn-Copenhagen route, just as before. She will receive a new livery and name next year. ⛴️

Thanks for comment. When the video was published, that was the last day DFDS operated the route. After that, Gotlandsbolaget (legally known as Alvina Shipping A/S), has operated and owned this route since. They will change the name of the line and the vessels next year, but for now, they still sail under the DFDS brand. ⛴ I recently (6-8 November), also travelled on board M/S Pearl Seaways with an Owner's Suite, although I on the starboard side. Really interesting cabin, and very large. The hot tub was however not open anymore (due to low-season), so could not be used. Thanks for watching, and reaching out! 🙂👍

@ScandiTravel well, I have to admit, it was a cold place to have a hot tub, but we were determined to use it. Being near the bow of the ship, we were quite exposed to the cold air blowing up as the ship travelled along. We (my wife and son) all joked about our Danish blood helping us and we just braved the cold night air. Beautiful while in the tub, but we had to grab some (supplied) bathrobes as soon as we climbed out, and run for cover. It may have been the chill I got there that led me to coming down with the flu after arriving back in Copenhagen. When we then flew back to Brisbane, Australia I had to not only recover from severe jet lag, but also a bad dose of the flu. However, I still think it was all worth it.. 😄😄

They seem to be very in to this, and interested to carry on this iconic route, as well as further developing it. 😊 DFDS has been a great company as an operator, so this is also, as you say, kind of sad. I appreciate their interest of their history, and really like how they want you to "feel" their long past on board. This makes them seen as a trustworthy operator. But again, Gotlandsbolaget will take over this route and its tradition, as well as to make it even better. Siden dette er et langdistansetog, stopper det på færrest mulig stopp for å redusere reisetiden. Stasjonen er ikke langt unna Oslo S, så er nok ikke grunnlag for å stoppe der. Men skjønner at noen skulle ønske at det stoppet der også.

They sold this route, because they wanted to focus more on freight and transport needs, rather than minicruise, what this route mainly is.

It is not going to be "Destination Gotland", but another name. They still haven't revealed what yet. However, media has spoken about that the ships are going to get the same white and red livery as their Gotland ferries, but Gotlandsbolaget has not confirmed that. This will probably not be revealed until 2025, so the ships will still have the same name and their dark blue color until further notice.
