This story was hard for me to like but also hard for me to hate. I always like finding-new-love stories because I’m instinctively a hopeless romantic, but I detest “running away” tropes because I find it as another form of betrayal (unless they need to run from a toxic ex or something which wasn’t the case here). I know it’s plot armor that the rich handsome ceo bf will forgive her and, of course, be the one running to her but I feel like the fl was still a major a$$ for leaving. I understand dance/career is her life but it’s not like being with Jerome would’ve hindered her. Her leaving actually just solidified the rumors of her jumping from one rich man to another making it more difficult to clean up her image. The part I find the most upsetting is that she didn’t even have the human decency to talk to him or communicate with him as if he wasn’t even worth explaining to. To me, her selfishness and greed was just as bad as Nicholas’ so I find it somewhat unfair that her ex would be hated for his betrayal while she doesn’t. I’m glad for the happy ending but I still feel bitter about it. 😮‍💨
