Very detailed video. I quite enjoyed watching it.
well thank you. I love the feed back
72 and still camping. I have a few trailers and lots of tents. Getting harder to get in and out of the tents now. So I like the ease of the trailers. Just don't like towing them. LOL... You can see some of my camping on my channel if you so desire.
Oh yes, the pro's and con' s of everything. Very cool trailers by the way
All very good advice. There is only one item I would add to the list for my own protection and peace of mind, and that would be pepper spray. I carry one with me whenever I go to out-of-the-way places such as deserted beaches and forest walks. I was attacked by a dog a few years ago so am always prepared now. I do believe though that only here in Western Australia are certain people allowed to carry it for protection: the elderly and women in particular, but others who have a good reason. If you do use it however, you are required by law to explain why to the court. Perhaps the other states in Australia should request a change to their laws to enable people to carry this product :)
yes, its a good question isn't it . probably any spray would do the trick if it was in someone's eyes.
My travel buddy and I are both 71 and we still tent camp 3 or 4 times a year. We have our gear dialed in though we still mess up. Little things like forgetting the 3 gallon water jug at home or forgetting to put gas in the car before leaving town! The main thing is we wouldn't do it if we weren't having fun.
Yes i know . We've all done it . Never forget your sense of humor.😉
Had the hip done now waiting for tendant repair surgery yikes
well while your on the mend. Plan a few trips. baby steps at first though. Get well soon
Are you not afraid to camp alone
Well, you do have to get used to it. It depends on where you are too. Find that safe place that you feel good about.
I think you have answered your own question. there are only 2 stages of life, you are alive or dead. while you are here anything is possible. enjoy🤠🤠
Lolol. So true
I'm 63 and tent camped in Moab, then took my 34 yo son with DS tent camping at the beach ❤ .. I've been camping since I was a toddler.. I've had every sort of camping trailers over the years, but nothing is better than pitching tents ❤
Yes im the same, tried most ways but now find simple is pretty good. Everyone has there own style and that's great. Find your own way is key 🔑 ✨️ 👌
You are NEVER too old to go camping. I'm 76 and I do it by myself. I go intermittently, but I could do it full time. I just keep my camping stuff in my SUV, so I'm pretty much always ready. Heck yeah on the boat. As long as you are able bodied! And we can do a lot to keep ourselves able bodied. I put my mattress on the floor to force me to get up off the floor with minimum arm assist. My mobility is actually improving.
That is awesome to hear you are still out there camping!
As long as you can react to certain things: outdoor animals, accidents happen, keep a gun! Yes keep a gun and well supplied first aid kit! Relax but don’t be naive!❤
I was told I am to old. But I converted my own van and are loving exploring Turkiye. Funny enough, making videos is a great motivator.
Being told you’re too old to do something is the best motivator to prove them wrong! And welcome to my world. 😉
Do you worry about safety (from other people)?
Great question; and you have inspired me to do a video on the subject very soon. Yes , be aware, yes , there are bad people. Go where you feel safe and stay tuned before Christmas 🎄. It deserves a conversation. Thank you so much.
Good for you!
Congrats on your passion! Nature is our greatest healer & age is just a number💜
Couldn't agree more. 🌿
@@gonebushwithcarolNew Subscriber & a 59yo in the bush everyday, just with my dogs lol Thanks for all the good tips🙏🏻 Cheers from Central Victoria✌🏻
Hi watching from the Philippines ❤❤❤ new friend here, subscribe done 👍 ✅
Welcome Miss Grocelyn to the channel! Great to have you here. 🌺
I think it depends on how well you sleep and as long as your able to get up and move around inside and get out alright to go potty, like at night. We call those cots in us. Stretchers are the things they use in ambulances to take you to hospital. I got a kick from you calling it a streatchers.water in us is 6 lbs a gallon. I feel it's no age limits to enjoy the out doors!!
Too funny. You can be my US translated.
oops translator
You go girl
That first upload was really scary. 😉
I will be camping permanently as of February 2025. Got sick of looking at four walls and youtube. 😂 🇺🇸 Age 66.
