Sell the car with a bill of sale . It’s legal : use that money to pay off a portion of the loan you owe : then let them write off the debt as a repo. Do not just give the car back for nothing . Get ya money . The finance company can care less about the car; they’re going to sell it at auction for 1500 , write off your debt and get it back from the IRS next year . Trust me they not losing. So don’t lose
