I was wedding shopping today and the bouquet was on my mind and it legit freaked me out because I had no clue what I was doing

I agree!! When my dad died I got several potted plants which were beautiful. Having two small children and working it was just another chore on my list. I felt that I had to keep them alive. Eventually they died and I felt so bad. I felt like my last momenta that represented him was gone and I had failed. As time passed I realized that I shouldn't feel like that because my dad never saw or touched that plant. It meant nothing to him. Now unless that person personally gave me something before they died and they wanted me to have it I don't worry about what came after or as a result of them passing.

when my grandpa died many years ago, I actually had 2 people send plants to the funeral and requested they go home with me, and one in particular really was a big hearty plant that lasted several years and was just so beautiful.. That's why I just found out my friend's dad died and I remember how much that plant meant to me. It was actually the only gift I remember cause of how much it meant to me. It was so lovely. I miss that plant, but never felt anything bad about it. I guess everyone is different in what they appreciate. I just find it strange that you don't think it's a good idea.
