    Hello, greetings from Pontassieve, province of Florence, Italy. I have a Suzuki Jimmy 4x4 with a 1.3 litre M13A petrol engine, manufactured in 2001, all original, which I often use on dirt roads on rural farms and on dirt forest roads used by loggers to take wood from the forest. With forestry tractors, with skidders and forwarders, and with forestry trucks used to transport wood! And that despite the fact that a 4x4 off-road vehicle with original configuration behaves very well on this type of forestry and rural dirt and gravel roads used in the construction of rural roads!

    • @mora103

      I would just take the hose off. Then take it to AutoZone tell them you need rubber hose the same length and diameter. They should have a big roll, that they can cut it off of.

      Intake and the carb gasket, And any other gasket you remove basically. If you don't rip the old gasket, you could reuse it. The only thing is they will be smashed, hard and worn 😅

    What is the open pipe stubbing up from heat shield and is this supposed to be connected to something or covered?

    • @mountainkeep5776
      @mountainkeep5776 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That pipe uses a duct/tube to connect to the front of the air box. When the engine is cold, it allows the heat from around exhaust manifold to create warm air for the intake which helps the engine reach operating temperature more quickly. When the engine has reached the correct temperature, there is a flap in the air box that closes via a vacuum line and actuator that stops the engine from continuing to use the hot air from the manifold.

    Hi Man. Please help me. I wanna buy repair kit for my carburator and I can't find nothing! The carburator name is Mikuni corp. Is this a normy carburator because my friend have different one. Pleas help a Suzuki samurai beginner

    • @mountainkeep5776
      @mountainkeep5776 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Give me a minute to do some research on this. If I remember correctly the stick carb is made by a company called Aisin. But I definitely recognize the name Mikuni. Let me do a quick search and I'll get back to you asap.

    • @mountainkeep5776
      @mountainkeep5776 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      So I did a little bit of skimming through the internet and some forums. From my understanding, the Mikuni carb is an aftermarket carb that is a fairly common "upgrade" choice when replacing the stock carb. It seems as though there might be a few different Mikuni carbs available ranging in different CFM intake volumes. Without knowing exactly which carburetor you have I cannot make an adequate recommendation on the appropriate rebuild kit that would benefit your rebuild. I'm unaware if these Mikuni carbs have a serial/model number but if they do you might be able to cross reference the carb to obtain the information needed to make an informed purchase on a rebuild kit.

      Haha! No it is not. Do not use Mtn Dew as cleaner; I was joking. I used the Mtn Dew bottle to transport hot water to my shed where I was using the Ultrasonic cleaner. I use a mixture of roughly 2/3rds water to 1/3rd aluminum safe industrial decreaser. I highly advise against using Mtn Dew as a cleaning solution. 😆
