I usually Ike the original songs more than covers. For the time this was no doubt a fantastic song, but I’ve heard some recent version that are much better. One just found on TH-cam is by Carson McKee. Look it up you won’t be disappointed.

Ace Café refreshments was a small one level Building built in1938 WW2 was hit by Germen bomb 1942 destroyed rebuilt in 1947 ..19 62 Sherly tempol came from 59 club and piped piped all but hand full away from Ace café so no love lost In 1969 Closed its doors ,same building as now yet the café was no more for 30 years sold carpets then a tire out let .To day the 59 club is run by Ace café London ltd also the name rockers was patented by Ace café London ltd .. How some change history even a patch sold by Ace café London 1938 to 2000 Is misleading !!

Quite probably a jacket produced as a pastiche of the era - back then the average employee was lucky to make £2 a week, so acquiring such an iconic garment would have been a stretch for anyone with a bike to maintain. 🙂
yes truth and the white socks and white scarf we put on welly boots and turned them down as for scarfs white no way covered in oil we were turned away many places re oil drops we had oil skins X army stuff leathers cost arm and leg I worked market saved and saved got my leather i have to this day a real 60 jacket Tatty to day lining finished and leather on neck holed but its history of that time 6 pence tow of toast and a cup of Charly lee ( TEA) @@reflexionmedia

Please forgive my slow response. Larry is OK. He was very ill, but has recovered & is back in his old haunts. The politicians seem to understand that Larry humanises them, so he remains in office.
