I was just telling an evangelist that they are doing great but as a member of the church we have more laws and commandments to follow. We have been given more knowledge because we believe Heavenly Father has not stopped prophesying to his prophets. I told him he was living the best life that he has with the knowledge he has from the Bible. I also said that the Book of Mormon is not a story about Joseph Smith. I am just glad he believes in Christ and we are on the same team. We just know more.

Why do church members depend on the testimonies of others?? A person's testimony should be based on their own personal understanding. Just because someone else believes something does not make it true. Leave the hive mind behind...
@@johnrowley310 we don’t necessarily depend on others’ it’s more so that we are strengthened on others’. What would you do if you were the only human on the planet? You would miss everybody. Same concept. What are we, any of us without a little help from our friends? Sometimes we are weak and need help. I know I do. You can’t go it alone and that’s the point.
Great to hear from someone with a strong testimony! AND brave enough to get out onto TH-cam! Two thoughts: Road noise made it hard to hear. Speaking louder and a noise filter on the audio before you post would both help. I had no idea what you were going to talk about for a while. State your topic point right off and get to it! Hiya Justin, I felt the Spirit bring a little more bring clarity today as I listened to your thoughts while I typed a message on the online discussion board for the Foundations of the Restoration class I am taking this semester. We just started class this week. We are starting with the Prelude to the Restoration and the First Vision lessons. The thoughts you shared with us in the last 20 minutes of this video are exactly what our Savior wanted to completely redeem and fully restore to all of us in His Church through His immense love, compassion, and mercy! That includes you and I am so glad that you recognize that you are included by your Savior! I am still praying for you, my bro and friend! :)

Frankly, I really don't care where your feet go on Sunday, but I DO care about where your soul goes when you leave mortality. The best way to kill fear is with truth, and what better truth is there than the very words of Jesus Christ?

Its hard to see growth on a day to day basis. We loose the ability to accurately compare months or years of change to today. Imagine not seeing a 5 year old child for 3 years. To the child, they have not grown mucb as they see themselves every day in the mirror. But to someone removed from for a time, the change is incredible. Spiritual growth is the same. Thanks for the great mesage, brother.

@@markandpamtaylor8341 what’s the point of your question? I don’t look at it that way at all. I look at it as promising to do my best. In the long, I am promising to follow God and stay with Him. Yea I will fall and fail but that is part of the process and that’s what repenting is for.
@Killthesefears Have you listened to the artist NF and his song Hope? It's a genre many people refuse to listen to, but the lyrics and message are spectacular. I actually enjoy the music as well. It is very poignant to the experiences we all go through. Here is a sample of the lyrics: What's my definition of success?
