Zebop, playing the music of Santana, closed out an exciting concert in Yreka CA with this classic number, made so famous at Woodstock 50 years ago. This was the last concert in Yreka for this 24th year of wonderful Mechanics Bank (formerly Scott Valley Bank) summer concerts in our parks. Perfect finale. My grandparents had a record of BPO w Arthur Fiedler and when I came to visit I always listened to it and spending my summers as a child this was must watch tv
My older brother (8 yrs older) introduced me to this as a child and has always been my favorite. And it was with Arthur Fiedler as conductor.
Memories of July 4, 1976, the Bicentennial.
I was born in 1949 and the Bicentennial was the greatest July 4th in my lifetime. Wish I could be around for the Tricentennial (LOL)
I’d better get a head start on the Boston Pops 1812 Overture because I heard this piece many times before. IT’S GOING TO BE PLAYED AGAIN TONIGHT, I KNOW THAT. Kenneth Huang. 7/04/24.
The only thing wrong with this show was that night was very foggy and you really couldn't see the fireworks because they disappeared in the heavy fog and clouds.
I saw them clearly. Crowds were horrendous though!
3:37 that one chick having an orgasm in the crowd
Disnejlend, wersja dla motłochu
In the U.K. l grew up listening to Uncle Mack on the radio. One of the most often played pieces as the finale to the record show was the last few minutes of this beautiful piece of music. Oh, how it takes me back.😊❤
Ten motłoch nie poszedł tam wysłuchać arcydzieła, którego nie rozumie. Oni poszli tam jak do Disneylendu, zobaczyć fajerwerki i siebie na telebimie. Żałosne.
Went with my parents several times to the 4th Concert in Symphony Hall. They play it before the fourth there several times. Have been at Esplanade in pouring rain too. If crowds bug you go the day before the 4th…3rd of course….they do a dry run practice during day, people just come and lounge by the river. Love our city!
Absolutely fabulous
My face piece of pre Spanish American war music.
The French. What do you expect?
I miss this so much. Back in the 1990's, the A&E Network always televised "Pops Goes the Fourth," featuring the Boston Pops Orchestra, under the direction of Maestro Keith Lockhart. The BPO always played the full version of the 1812 Overture, not what I call the Reader's Digest condensed version that is played by the National Symphony Orchestra on the "Capitol Fourth" broadcast on PBS. It is nice to see Maestro Lockhart and the BPO still going strong. Thank you for posting this.
Money has taken over the networks! I miss A&E's Fourth of July celebration show and fireworks! Good ol' days! 🎶🇺🇸
BPO is vastly superior to Capital Fourth. I agree with you comp.
Same!!!
You Know it's on Bloomberg TV right??
Its has been back on Cable since 2017 on Bloomberg
Thanks to Miss Kat (rest easy my friend) for the BSO CD.
Doesn’t need choral, it’s grand enough!😅
"1812 Overture," and the wonderful Boston Pops. Excellent !!
Tchaikovsky is my favorite classical composer and the 1812 Overture is possibly my favorite of his works. Crank up the volume and rattle walls for this great work.
Ditto
Our Dad was stationed on Governors Island, First Army Headquarters, and on Independence Day, we were entertained with this piece of music along with fireworks and cannon fire. Although it was almost 50 years ago, I have never forgotten the experience!
Well done Boston, If your going to go BIG , go Ballistic.
Having grown up in Boston (and having pumped gas into Arthur Fiedler's VW at the Mobil station in Cleveland Circle) I'll always have a soft spot for the Pops even though I've been away for a long time. Thanks for posting this wonderful performance.
that was SICK! my favorite rendition used to be the Halle orquestra at Royal Albert Hall, this one is now my favorite.
Thats looks like a russian propaganda show. Wtf 😂😂😂
Too bad no chorals!
Fabulous. There is great irony that many groups in the US perform a Russian piece of music for our 4th of July.
Because it's the only classical piece that allows us to shoot our guns in it. Classical music needs more explosions.
Which just proves that music is the art which knows no boundaries or petty politics.
@@rattywoof5259 yep
It was not written specifically for Russia, the composer was Russian.
@@katepacek715 actually, the Russian government did ask Tchaikovsky to compose a piece about the victory against napoleon in 1812.
I was a kid living in back bay during the 70's and 80's and went to these performances every year. It was a thrilling time in my life. I'll never forget those them.
1812년 서곡 - 구도를 아주 잘 짰다고 본다...
it may be a flawless performance musically technically. but to play a piece of music in less than 13 minutes, for which other orchestras need 15 or even better 16 minutes, in order to present the size and scope and dignity, is artistically almost cheeky... 😞
In a hurry to the cannons part
Que curioso, festejando la independencia de los Estados Unidos, con una obra que celebra el triunfo ruso sobre Napoleón.
Y nuestro triunfo sobre Inglaterra!!!
They just like the idea of cannons being a part of the score!
Agree whith de Sound , beautiful, but unfortunatelly the sound of the Church were missing
I heard them
Great job, Takatsugutub!
Awesome show, i grew up listening to Arthur Fiedler and the Boston Pops, thanks for bringing back some good memories !!
I agree. Thanks for the memories 😊
I did also! So wonderful!
Good performance!
Good tempo, but the Orthodox Church bells were sadly missing......
party, pooper!
Also chorus! I think Americans more thrilled with brass, cannons and fireworks! Different culture
They were done by tubular bells.
@@alexv1269 Tchaikovsky did not add a choir to his “1812 Overture;” Igor Buketoff did.
@@DonDonP1 Yes, b u t very insignificant compared to other arrangements/performances.

Bull shit 🤣🤣
Awesome! Thought she was Georgia at first.
Yes, indeed, I need to write up how this is done. Will get to that when time allows ...
But how mate?
Would you consider a tutorial how you did this?
+Brian Rohan I second that :-)
Stanley - Thank you for anchoring your camera on the girls. Caught TSO 12/09/15 in Austin. Chloe won my heart, what a voice. But, look out, Jodi Katz (who reminds me of my young days sweetheart Rita Williams) is on the rise.
Wow that's Chloe? I saw her in Vegas a few years ago and she looked gorgeous. Don't get me wrong she sounds wonderful, but imo she sticks out in this group in an awkward way. Her hair extensions are so obvious when they do the side jerk thing. She looked so much better in Vegas as a brunette.
+bookiecookie444 I totally agree with you and posted that exact same sentiment on another Blonde Chloe song .. she does not look nor act the same.. she actually looks older to me... something has changed with our Chloe, and it is not just her hair. something has been lost. Yes, still amazing voice , and looks like she has been working out (nice arms) but something is just not right with her soul
Excellent! Thanks for sharing !
Thanks for the thanks ! These kids, and this teacher, are GREAT !!
Hey, I know her, that's my daughter! Great job babe!!
Chloe looks amazing as a blonde! WOW!
This is one of the best performances of this song I've ever heard, and watched.
More Jodi voice, less everyone else
This is a pretty cool song, especially the guitar.........
My wife and I went to this show, and sorry, but they were way better when we saw them back in 2009.This time the vocals were off and sometimes hard to understand what they were saying. The new show was overall o.k.The ending was kickass, only because they played Carol of the bells.......
Very cool!
Love!
