Its a long time since ive seen another BB call sign, just bought a gainmaster 5/8 wave for mobile use new in box £80. 73 163BB59
I have a question. Does Sirio offer two different models of the Gainmaster? I recently found a three section and another being a four section?, If this is true, Iam guessing one Gainmaster is a 1/2 wavelength, and the four section being 5/8 wavelength???? Thanks for reading and sharing your Sirio with us!!! 🇺🇸
Hi Eric, mine is the 5/8 wave Gainmaster and had over 2 yrs and still performing well and excellent with dx reached Germany, North and South Italy, Poland from East Coast of England.

After I sent you this message, I took a trip to Sirios website, at first I thought someone "Walmart" misadvertized the Gainmaster but, I guess they didn't, also until Yesterday I had no idea that both the Sirio 1/2 wave and 5/8 ths Gainmaster were offered through Walmarts website, the 1/2 wave is $158.00 dollars and the 5/8 th's wave is $186.00 bucks, maybe they are cross dock shipping those for Sirio???, Iam also curious how that antenna would perform with ground radials, being the Gainmaster has no radials, it must have a higher takeoff angle as opposed to an actual ground plane???. Anyways, thanks again for your reply, your time is greatly appreciated. 🤓✌

Get a post underneath that pole, don't waste that 1m down on the ground. The Thunderpole 1/2 wave has worked for me, for 3mth, gain master in a few weeks, that 9.9bd attracted me

you do know, your meant to guy these Antennas as they're prone for snapping. It states this in the manual
No you don't, you only need to guy the poke if its over 30ft, and he has 2 good wall brackets, that's ample. Why would anybody guy their antenna, 14gauge copper wire ground plains maybe, not sure about up top though.

Great Antenna that's why it's my 2nd one. Gets out well and receive well.
I have the A99/FS99 top section upgrade, but couldn't get close to an swr yesterday, so my thunderpole went back up. Now I was all set for the Solorcan Imax or President Himalaya, then came across this gain master, not many 5/8th wave antennas have a 9.9db gain, so it drew me in, will be ordering a new 1 next week
