That is so terrifying, the cams man....life is clinging to the design of how it wedges in rock, has anyone video-taped a cam failing on the "Changing Corners pitch" This is absolute insanity.

Not a good idea for me. Inching my way up 3000 feet of vertical slick granite someone recently pooped or peed on. One mistake, one rock or slab gives way and you plummet thousands of feet into the beautiful valley floor that is Yosemite National Park. Going to the Gym you get muscles. Farming gives you muscles and food for the year. On belay, belay on, climbing, climb on!

You can watch Hazel Findlay work out and free a slightly easier and less disturbingly airy dihedral at Squamish without cam hooks, which if used would be placed the opposite way, but instead they rely on tiny wires and cams on "Tainted Love" on youtube.

I really hope they have a camera on it if this thing ever decides to come loose. It's gonna be like watching a bomb go off when it hits the ground and shake the whole valley.

Ooh, I’m confused. This gets to go wrong only once. Just the footage makes me feel ill! The climber describes it as gnarly and scary as fuck. Why the fuck does anyone do this? Impressive maybe, but these guys need their heads testing, not for me thanks! I stood in the valley and got vertigo looking up that thing, ha ha. Ah well, hats off to you lunatics.

@@robbpasky4684 I'm a pretty good gym climber, I can climb anything in any gym I've been to (granted that's not many)... I have no interest in this sort of thing...outdoors, iI much prefer hiking, camping, whitewater kayaking/rafting, motorcycles, hunting/fishing, etc, where I can take the pups/friends/good food, toys, comfort... This is still scary! You got some big balls that's for sure! I'm a big pussy, I mostly don't like climbing because it just tears up my hands and knees and clothes and stuff... And I have fairly tough calloused hands.... 😂

So you're training him.... by running a river that you are so unfamiliar with you forget were the rapid that the run is named after is, yell his name over and over again instead of giving him clear instruction, not teach him about shipping your oars(which was pretty much the issue that caused your two problems running slaughters, bring your pup in IV+ rapids with an inexperienced rower, and almost looked like your clips on the left oar was loose and spun. Hell yeah, but pot calling the kettle black cause my first run down that, r2, was a shit show also. Guy I ran with I didn't know, he was suppose to know the lines and didn't, my first time in class IV, 10'6" boat in 2500cfs, no other boats except a commercial outfit of three we piggybacked off of, he didn't communicate that well so I ended up yelling calls out and read and running a lot of it cause if we stopped to scout we would loose the commercial outfit for solid beta,, this made me have flashbacks. Glad you guys made it and were laughing about it and not overly being stressed out at the guy learning. Still haven't rowed this section and with a little more training on the oars I hope to do it next season. Hope to see you guys out there, look for the tall ginger with the german shepard( probably won't be with me on this run till I get it nailed down in an oar boat).
