Scroll saw a collapsible bowl basket
มุมมอง 3632 หลายเดือนก่อน
I have been making a lot of collapsible bowls for fun and I thought I'd share how I make them with all of you. It does take a little trial and error for this type of scrolling to get the right angle with your blade. Once you have done that, it's time for scrolling!
3D compound cut mini birdhouse
มุมมอง 7412 หลายเดือนก่อน
I love all aspects of scroll saw cutting. Here is another compound cut with a pattern from Steve Good at scrollsawworkshop. I give 2 different ways to drill the birdhouse holes. The first is before cutting the compound cut. The other is after the house has been cut out. Choose which way works for you.

Making a small wood instrument box
มุมมอง 5204 หลายเดือนก่อน
This project was a challenge for me. I am a beginner when it comes to small sized boxes. I like the fact that I used leather for the hinges and a wooden knob for the front of the box without having to out and buy hardware hinges. I learned a great deal from this project and thought others might learn from my challenges.

Scroll Saw A Celtic Necklace
มุมมอง 4686 หลายเดือนก่อน
I hope to inspire you to let your imagination run free with new ideas and patterns for the scroll saw. These necklaces were inspired by a trip I will be taking this year. I hope enjoy my video. p.s. One thing I neglected to mention was the way I attached the two crosses together. I use tite-bond quick and thick.
Scroll saw a 3D/compound cut name plate
มุมมอง 1.1K7 หลายเดือนก่อน
In today's world of laser cutting, this is one pattern that can only be done by scroll sawing either by hand or with a machine. This is my demo of using my Seyco ST24 scroll saw to design a unique name plate. I also have a video teaching you how to make your own 3d/compound cut name plate if you are interested in designing your own. It can be found here: th-cam.com/video/A53cBbgHIwg/w-d-xo.html
Inkscape Scroll Saw 3d name plate

In this video I'm back at my computer showing you how I use Inkscape to design my own pattern for 3d/compound cutting. Inkscape is a free vector computer program that is easy to download on your home computer. It does require some skill to maneuver in the program and these lessons can also be found on youtube. You are very good at instructional videos. You really ought to think about doing very basic training using Inkscape. I've watched a ton of them and they are are in a foreign accented tongue or way above most people's abilities to grasp the basics. And they always go way too fast moving the mouse around and clicking on the different tools while trying to explain what the tool is for and how to use it. You mentioned in the beginning of this video how you did what you did but I'm sure that many folks who are following you might like to gain a bit more knowledge on the program. I an 81 and have been trying to grasp it for about 5 years. I'm getting better at it but it's been a real fight. Please, give it some thought.

Hi Susan-What would be helpful to me and probably your audience is to mention specifics; i.e. sandpaper grits, scroll saw blade sizes, speed of scroll saw, like 1-5, slower is better unless faster is best, plus links to good double sided tape, preferred poly manufacturers, stuff like that. Also links to supplies would be helpful. Thanks.
