In general, men are told to not pay attention to their feelings. It's toxic. But. When the feelings are a wet blanket of negativity, do it anyways. You'll forget the pain, but you'll rememeber the memories of achieving what you wanted.

Talent gives an edge, but like everything, you can only be so talented, it won't make you the best, just above average, practice and hard work will make you the best.

People are born with talent. Skill takes time to develop. When you combine the two... you go beast mode. There will always be someone more talented. The trick is developing a higher skill than their talent. Just because someone is born with talent... doesn't mean they have skill. Talent without skill is a wasted gift. Skill without talent is a lack of creativity. However... a well-developed skill will often outpace talent being wasted. Never lose faith in yourself. Talent is born with... but anyone can develop a skill. Talent may come along and change the world... but skill keeps it running. There is a place for everyone in everything. The trick is discovering if you have talent... or skill.

I feel real lucky that I never felt this way, I never felt the need to compare myself to anyone else. maybe like learn things from others but I think we should all be ourselves

the difficulty with that, speaking as a 40y veteran of my industry, is that the kids that come along, of course know everything, and can't or won't get past the ego trip. then they learn a little, enough to be semi dangerous, and gone. so from my veteran perspective, i just wasted a year or so on a brat. this has happened many many times, so i just wont train

It's not always true. I was with my wife for 5 years before we were married, and we have been married for 6 months now. I was a naive boy before we got married, and i had a lot of growing up to do. We stuck with each other, and we both changed for the better of the relationship. Glory to god for gifting my wife with so much patience when it came to putting up with my mistakes. Growing with each other and sticking with each other has been the best choice of my life!
