I didn’t even notice that. But since that car meet was pretty famous and brought about 300 cars. I can think that maybe he actually towed it from a distant place and didn’t want to put a 100+ miles. Is common to see cars towed to a nearby location and then drive to this big car meets. I don’t really know if that’s the case here though.

You can call em that. But in reality they are not. They are a homage to the Ford GT40 wich was a race car.

That's actually the 2nd and 3rd generation. The first was the Ford gt40 before that.
The Ford GT40 was a race car. Ford wanted to put the name GT40 on the first generation (2005) of the Ford GT and could not because of legal issues with the name. The Ford GT40 is a class on its own. I understand people want to say is the 1st Gen but it’s really not. Ford GT is a homage to the GT40.

Both absolutely gorgeous.. But the first Gen is something extra special and the fact that it still looks incredible even when compared to modern sports cars says something.
I agree 100%. We can’t take away the performance of the 2nd Gen but the fact that the first Gen is a true heritage of the GT40 and to this day still stands tall next to modern super cars is admirable.

It’s the most expensive and track focused yes. But some people prefer the V8 vs the V6 and a bit more time traveling to the GT40.

Late 70s early 80s transams r crap… they only mattered from 70 to 73… everything else was garbage… 74 had equally good performance as 73 but looked like crap… so 70 to 73 was it….
The original ‘Smokey and The Bandit’ TA did not have gold painted headlight bezels.
This is not the original from the movie. But this one in particular was previously owned by Burt Reynolds. And this is the second owner after Reynolds.
