The 1977-78 St. Olaf Choir performing "Today, Heaven Sings" by director Kenneth Jennings.
I was blessed with singing under Kenneth Jennings for a year and a half when I was at St. Olaf College. It truly was one of the greatest blessings of my life.
I met him at a concert at my college! He’s a really interesting guy and I feel like I could learn a lot from him. Such an awesome video!
I keep on watching this video over and over again. I'm amazed by how Dr Jennings conducted the choir. Everytime I listen to this, I close my eyes and it gave me goosebumps😍
Mesmerized by this. I’ve watched/listened to it so many times.
Orchestra of voices ...suave
How beautiful...thank you..
Joji just looking for Attention
This Spring 1979 performance is taken from a Choral Masterworks CD by the St. Olaf Choir - "A Kenneth Jennings Retrospective." Dr. Jennings (1925-2015) provides the spoken introduction at the beginning.
Speechless Beauty.
Very nice
Good job, fellow chorale members!
Allen - Very nice! You have come SO far! Thanks be to God! Dolly Collins
Very nice! Choir ladies - stop talking!!
Absolutely beautiful!
I remember this exact rehearsal and paying rapt attention just as if it was 30 years ago. Thanks for putting this up Allen.
Ken Jennings conducts all/ways dancing in my memory. I am so grateful for his musical gifts that he so passionately shared. This is the last time I saw, sang, and spoke with KJ. Thank you for posting! “Death Shall Have No Dominion”.
The St. Olaf Choir is arguably the premier cultural treasure in Minnesota. Jennings certainly kept that legacy alive. RIP.
Them... and Concordia under Paul J. About equal.
May Choirs of Angels sing him to his rest
Oh my. Deja vous. And now I really feel old.
Correct Choral History...Glad This Was Posted.... Thank You Thank You
I am awe struck. Allen and I have known each other since we started kindergarten together. After graduation I lost track of him until I read an article of him being honored for his musical talents. He was the one ray of God's light that I encountered in hight school. Allen has always been a man of great character and talented beyond anyone I've ever known. Someday Allen will again play the piano and sing when we all gather before the Lord in heaven. I do also thank God for you Allen.
Emmy, who are you? I don't recognize the address.
What an incredible inspiration for all of us! What an honor that I can say I KNOW HiM!! God Bless You Allen. Keep up the great work of serving our Lord!
He's an amazing human. But, his jokes are awful!
Lovely window into Allen's life, talent, and continuing work!
