    Question for others with this type of Kubota fuel filter assembly. There is an "On" marking all the way to the left at the 9 o'clock position, in addition to the straight up / 12 o'clock "On" marking. Is there a difference between the two? Ours is always set in the straight up On position for normal operation, but I've never found why there is an On to the left. Bypass? Thanks in advance.

    Allen, the machine has been great, can't tell on my power bill. It stick welds fine and the tig is fine, doesn't have as many features as the inverter machines but it does fine. I have a Lincoln 210 mig that I use way more and it works great, also have the aluminum spool gun for it.

    Although this video was dated about 7 yrs ago, I suspect it has been a wonderful machine. John, it would be nice to see your review on its overall performance while in your possession.Although the transformer based welders suck up more electricity than inverters, if one is a casual welder I think they are tops, even not having owned one.

    All this is nice but most of it is not practical,because if you use a tractor for what it is you would tear most of it off using it in the woods. I’m not bad rapping you , what you have done looks very nice. I have a bx with some mods but before I make a mod I think how long will it take me to tear it off when in the woods. Nice job though.

    • @rvkubotaman
      @rvkubotaman 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks, I wish I had some woods to play around in but I don't live anywhere near any woods. I do a lot of work In developed subdivisions so unless I rip an item off with my leg or arm it ain't coming off. One day I'll get it to my place in Yellowstone Montana and play in some woods.

    Pawizard, those switches came from eBay, many to choose from. The movable steering wheel would be somewhat difficult to do, don't know of any one or company that does that.

  • @mwkacala
    @mwkacala 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    I am getting my new BX 1880 in 2 weeks. I'd like to put some of your mods on it. Where did you get the button switches you put into your dash? Also, the new BX 1880 doesn't have an adjustable steering wheel. I know there has to be a way to do that somehow. Any ideas? Thank you. Pawizard.

      Callapygian, that's good. We do use it but pretty much in cleaner environments and I am pretty anal about it being clean so I clean it a lot. Glad that you noticed it was clean thou. It has to look clean when I give the yorkies a ride in the neighborhood.

    No videos yet on changing the filter, still clean, but it is easy the bowl comes off and the element just pops off and you replace it put bowl back on and tighten and your done, turn fuel back on with lever on filter.

    • @rvkubotaman

      They are golf cart mirrors from ebay about 16 bucks. There around 3 ft off the ground I think measure that area on the tractor and see.

  • @chriscorie2001
    @chriscorie2001 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    Does that actually replace both filters?

    • @rvkubotaman
      @rvkubotaman 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Chris, it replaces the first filter under the tractor, that is the one that gets dirty very fast, you keep the other one up near the engine, so this replaces that first one.

    I love those straps that are on your bucket. Did you make those? If not were did you get them?

    • @rvkubotaman
      @rvkubotaman 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      The metal hooks I made up with 1/4 inch angle and 1/2 inch round pipe welded to fit over the edge of the bucket with hooks welded to it, pretty simple. It wedges itself over the lip edge. Welded the round pipe inside the angle with enough room for the bucket edge to slip down between the round pipe and angle and it stays hooked over the lip.

  • @paulsargent6688
    @paulsargent6688 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    If the ROPS clears the garage door frame, but not the garage door. Then You may want to look into a 2 track rails setup for the garage door. Mine raised the end of the bottom panel up a few inches when the door was fully open.

    • @rvkubotaman
      @rvkubotaman 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Paul that's a good suggestion, but my shed in back has 2 doors that swing open. I may have to remove the header and go up a few inches and some how fill that area above the door area. I got so excited when I bought the tractor I had a fart building the shed and not paying attention to the rops height.

    • @paulsargent6688

    I thought about doing a canister fuel filter also. John Deere's have them. What I may do instead is to put an inline shut off to change the first filter easier without clamping the fuel line. Make some Kubota videos, there are never enough.

    • @rvkubotaman
      @rvkubotaman 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yea I would do that it's easier than trying to clamp that line. We are getting that tropical storm right now, it is hell outside with rain and wind. When this goes by in a day or so I will start working on it. That filter has a shut off on it, got it from Colemans Tractor supply for 45.00.

      Thanks Cat, I dug my koi pond here in Florida and the feet just kept sinking into the soft sand soil we have, I think this will make a difference, have not tried them yet.
